You missed out on Linnanes in New Quay but other than that a good tour of Godās country.

I left Sligo to come home this morning with no plan at all. We stopped in a few playgrounds along the way, a family tradition to visit as many as we can. The fella in the centra in tubbercurry told me there was a great one around the corner which there was so spent a half an hour there sheltering from the hate and enjoying a coffee and an ice cream even though it wasnāt yet 11am.
We tipped down the road and I got a notion to go to Oranmore for a look. I got a few sandwiches and fruit in Joyceās and a quick Google later I headed out to Rinville Park to eat the lunch. A smashing spot with a beautiful view, there is also an unbeliveable playground here if anyone was wondering.
I drove on and didnāt I see a sign for Kinvarra so I couldnt pass up the chance to pay a visit and keep an eye out for @KinvarasPassion . Beautiful town and I was going to stop for an ice cream but I only have a 2019 car and I felt v out of place with the bang of wealth around so I kept going to Traught beach where I realised there actually is a place called Nogra!! Who knew
Quick dip here, smashing beach and hit the road
Went to a completely random beach based on a Google maps search called the Bishops quarter near Ballyvaughan. It was full of jellyfish and stones in the water which was a pain in the hole but the water was lukewarm, as warm as Iv ever been in the sea tbh. If it had a sandy beach Iād say the place would be chocka block
After a few hours fluting around here we headed off for home. But I said Iād spin onto Fanore for a look but didnāt I drive into Ballyvaughan village and down to the pierā¦ There was a big crowd mingling and a beautiful looking resteraunt called Monks. I got an awful pang of hunger and as luck would have it got a table on the terrace. Fuck me it was absolutely unreal. Crab claws, shellfish linguini, scampi, hake. Smashing fare. And v good value for what we got. Highly recommendedā¦ Iām sure @Big_Dan_Campbell is aware of the place
Stuffed we faced into the last leg for home. Drove through the burren, corofin and onto Ennis. I stopped for one last ice cream at the centra outside the town. A group of v attractive young ladies were in the shop wearing v little, they had got scalded at the beach and were looking for after sunā¦ A couple of them were so badly burnt they couldnāt even get their bras on under their little tops. They were in a bad way so I left them ahead of me in the queue and all
A great day out

I find it bizarre that he went to a beach, and then half an hour later went to another beach a few miles down the road.

Was in Cork there last week. A beautiful county and a great city for outdoor drinking/dining

Iāve got @gilgamboa up to 23 there, but he was putting in a huge effort there to curry favour from the Nogra faction.

We had two cars and the boss wanted to go to the closest beach as the air con is shit in hers so we ended up in Lahinch. Went early and got an hour on Sunday and a bit longer on Monday which was perfect with a toddler in tow. I never thought Iād run into the Atlantic Ocean without shrieking like a blouse but the water was lovely.
The pints in The Snug are lovely. Youād never get a bad pint in a town with an army barracks (so my old man says).
The oldest pub in the country (allegedly) SeĆ”nās Bar is in the middle of the town. You can mosey out to Glasson and indulge yourself in their selection of overpriced eateries before venturing further north a few miles to the Three Jolly Pigeons in the heart of Goldsmith country.
Ooooh the pleasures of Lough Reeā¦. cc @Fagan_ODowd
