Yeh I incorrectly stated Killarney. It’s Kenmare I’m heading to from Dublin. Normally I’d travel to Kerry from Limerick so my radar is out of touch. Google Maps recommends the route via Macroom instead of Mallow which would bring me via Ballyvourney.
Head to macroom and Ballyvourney…
No. Mitchelsown, Mallow, rathmore, Killarney.
The city route is 45 mins longer I’d say from mitchelstown
Are you winding him up now
Why not stop in the Firgrove in mitchelstown?
They do a smashing carvery.
Go via city for Kenmare
Shitty roads … He’d bomb the motorway from mithclestown 150k.
The feedback above on the miniature railway is spot on. Did the Michael Collins centre in the town - worth a visit for 45 mins/hour. Plenty of bits and pieces to get stuck into. The lad on reception had zero interest in the place
Nickie Quaid endorses this post. The Arches in Mallow and Fox’s Den Mitchelstown will see you fixed as well.
What’s the Michael Collins centre/house like?
Grand from memory, diverting for a short visit without being a comprehensive museum with an avalanche of information.
Heading to Cork for the weekend to get the youngest into her college acccomodation they want to hit Kinsale on Saturday any recommendations for things to do there and most importantly a good boozer for the AI final @Thomas_Brady @gilgamboa @EstebanSexface @Corksfinedtboy @backinatracksuit
Walk out to Charles Fort early, give it 45 minutes and spend the day in the Bulman after it. Walk back to Kinsale via the Spaniard.
As TUM said Bulman is a great spot. Lot of the pubs in Kinsale are more like resteraunts. Oscar Madisons if it’s still open prob best place to watch the all ireland
Garretstown beach is nice.
Fine roaster feed in the Wild Goose just outside Mallow.
fishy fishy is closed ?
I was there in July. It’s unreal
Was there a few weeks back and it was closed, unless they close for a holiday etc?
I missed out there before due to closure - think they might close two days a week
Ah right, that might explain it. I can’t recall what day it was I was down there now. Midweek anyhow.
