Stephen Kenny - He's in the RA

Did you read the Michael Foley book ???

It’s alright. The modern day footage grated with me. Poor choices made. The podcast is far superior.

They probably shouldn’t be playing for Eire if they’ve never heard of Bloody Sunday.

The video shown to them was absolutely nothing to do with Bloody Sunday

What was it ?

Wanderly Wagon

Bloody Friday.

Bloody Fingers

I am absolutely seething. what right have the RNLI to be meddling in FAI affairs??
just because their representative found their video offensive doesn’t give them to right to question Mr Kenny.
the RNLI people should have left straight after the charity photo shoot anyway, why were they hanging around the back of the video conference room listening into the team motivation discussion??

He will just have to go over this. There’s no place for politics in the football family.

Should Kenny go?
  • Yes
  • No
  • Yes but because he’s shite and not up to the job. Giv’t Big Sam

This little episode has moved me from the “I couldn’t give a shit about Stephen Kenny and this pub league team” to “Stephen Kenny is a daycent ould skin and deserves every euro he is getting having to deal with that shower”.

My view is he deserves the WC campaign and should be judged then

It’s understood a member of the FAI backroom staff made senior officials of the association aware of his unhappiness at how the pre-match routine in Wembley was conducted.

The staff member is said to have advised Kenny against showing the video to the players but the presentation went ahead.

Its a strange one because Alan Kelly has been involved since the mid 90s and has surely seen worse

The Kelly family are steeped in Irish football, his father won around 50 caps for Ireland was caretaker manager at one point before Eoin Hand got the gig. Alan Kelly himself from anything i have ever read about him and heard of him is seem as a thoroughly decent man.

I dont care what he thinks, but he was wrong when he said in Saipan that he could do a job in central mid. That was just plain foolish imo.

I’m only guessing.
It’s unlikely as you say, but you never know the behind the scenes machinations.
