Oh my heart goes out to you and his family. May he rest in peace. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone but at least as you say it wasn’t his Dad that found him.
You will need to take care of yourself when the time is right after these few days. Ye are all in our thoughts.

He has me wrecked the poor fella. He always had my back and I had his. No matter what went on we turned to each other and we sorted stuff out for each other. This is the first time he has done something that I just can’t fix. I can’t fucking fix it.

You cant and you wont ever find logic as to why your friend took this road. It’s impossible not to feel guilty, angry and sad. Your friend did not want you or his folks to feel like this. Be there for each other and remember the good times. Time is a great healer, just does not feel like that now.

There’s a lot of love, a lot of hurt and a whole lot of helplessness in what you’ve said there. The helplessness is the toughest to accept.
