Sweet baby Jesus and the orphans. You must have a serious chip on your shoulder when it comes to An Garda Siochana Art. What in the name of God has that got to do with this ?
I know that guard well sheâs as dumbs as a bag a rocks, one of these dopes that were hired during the boom
do you think that if the gardai were conducting an investigation into somebodyâs death and that witnesses evidence didnât tally with CCTV that the gardai wouldnt call them back in for interview under caution to clear up the inconsistencies ?
Yes that would be reasonable enough, but going by other reports there was a major issue being made by GSOC of whether the deceased lady was on the footpath or the side of the road when the sergeant passed by, and that it was suggested this was an attempt by him to pervert the course of justice. It doesnât seem like a major inconsistency on the face of it.
the AGSI are gunning for GSOC and have been since it was set up.
Quite possibly true, but youâd nearly expect that. GSOC havenât always covered themselves in glory either.
Separate issues really. Why would AGSI look for an inquiry into the Roche-Kelly murder, turkeys voting for Christmas comes to mind.
I donât think anyone is claiming GSOC were inept, more that they were excessively heavy-handed in their dealings with the Garda.
Is that the accident he was on his way to when the other lady was knocked down?
No
Can someone explain what the big deal here is re the footpath and whatever else? What is it important that she was in a different position as he drove by?
Iâm guessing it impacts on who was to blame for the accident.
Apparently, a lad who intervened in the Carlisle situation committed suicide the other day.
A van driver who witnessed troubled footballer Clarke Carlisleâs suicide attempt has died.
Good Samaritan Chris Kilbride, 24, was driving along the A64 near York on his way to work when the former footballer launched himself into the path of an oncoming lorry in a bid to take his own life.
Mr Kilbride, a father-of-two from Leeds, jumped out of his car and rushed to the sports starâs side before calling 999 - but said afterwards that he was left traumatised by the horrific scene.
The Sun reports that coroners in Leeds confirmed Mr Kilbride died on Thursday but did not give any further details.
His father, who is also named Chris, confirmed his sonâs death on Facebook, posting a message which said: 'It is with deep regret and a broken heart that i have to inform my friends that my son Chris Kilbride passed away yesterday.
âThanks to all the people that have already passed on their thoughts. RIP son Im already missing you like crazyâŚYou will never leave my thoughts xxx.â
The Mirror reports it is believed Mr Kilbride and his girlfriend Brooke Bleasby were expecting their third child.
Carlisle also paid tribute to Mr Kilbride saying: âIt is tragic news. My sincerest condolences go out to his family at this time.â
In February Mr Kilbride revealed how the terrifying incident left him in a âdark placeâ, which includes flashbacks and nightmares.
He said he was so disturbed about what happened that he could not drive past the same spot - meaning he was forced to quit his job at a chicken farm.
Mr Kilbride told the Sunday People in February: 'I canât believe he survived. I expected him to pass away.
Scandalous carry out by the consultant physiatrist in my view.
Everything is medication nowadays ⌠iâve a mate that will never come off zanex now itâs been so long⌠Doctors lashing out prescriptions willy-nilly just create more problems than it solves. At the end of the day, however, itâs all business and profits must remain high.
Remember this guy?
By the looks of things, and reading between the lines, it appears that he took his life just 3 weeks afterwards
Must be horrific for the family
My suspicion is that its as much time constraint and fatigue on the part of the medics. Damned if they do, and damned if they donât. If the state instead of protecting the rich, provided accessible counselling/ CBT I have no doubt it would be the first port of call. If the patient cannot access this, itâs hard for a family doctor. If anything happens to the patient, people will be lining up to ask why they werenât on treatment which has been statistically proven** to work.
**major asterisk here.
At the end if the day, some people will self harm no matter what.
Same thing happened my motherâs partner - medicated to the hilt - dead within a few weeks. The money these fuckers command then is sick.
Agree with most of this. The system sets up the GP as the gateway to all healthcare. They are quite well trained in fairness (at lest 9 years I think) but they are essentially a jack of all trades and have 10-15 minutes to make serious decisions with barely any insight into the specific patientâs condition. If somebody comes in with symptoms of depression, they probably know that counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy, etc. could be very beneficial but realistically the public patient isnât going to be able to access this very quickly. Prescribing an antidepressant is an easy quick fix to cover themselves and hopefully give a bit of a quick fix to the patient.
The choice of the mother above to bring her son, diagnosed with depression, to join a gun club beggars belief.
Those pharmaceutical companies have to pay their shareholders pal, Their is no at the end of the day in that field in fairness.
He was never diagnosed with depression. Thatâs one of the main points in the article.
