Flesh that out a bit there.
Paul Scholes.
Fergie was never going to play him until he signed a new deal.
No point in putting him in the shop window when he can just walk away for nothing at the behest of his unscrupulous agent.
Your constant Fergie ass licking is becoming sickening.
Yea, I mean why would a manager play a player on his books for fear of him playing well, impressing and subsequently looking for a transfer. The Manchester United Manager sure learnt his lesson from Ronaldo
Don’t think Pogba is anywhere near Ronaldo’s level. Pogba is a decent prospect but he doesn’t help himself by issuing demands for playing time. Ferguson has rarely got it wrong with blooding young players. If Pogba goes it could turn out to be his loss
in the long run.
That Pique lad never amounted to anything
Pogba was able to leave on a free, Ronaldo left for £80m and stayed for a year longer that it seemed possible having won a Champions League, four Premier Leagues and an FA Cup.
Lucas podolski has agreed terms with Arsenal and will move there during the summer for €10.9m.

Pique wanted to return to Spain. Pointless keeping a player who wants to move.
True enough, sure Fabregas was useless for his last 4 seasons with Arsenal as Ronaldo was for his last 2 with Man Utd.
Constant? Nominated him for ASOTY and mentioned how he handled a player who refused to sign a contract.
Would you have preferred I spoke of some unrelated to the matter Mac?

Not a valid comparison, Fabregas and Ronaldo were first choice players, Piqué was behind Ferdinand and Vidic and didn’t look like breaking through. Why keep an unhappy player? Pique has expressed his admiration for Ferguson in interviews, doesn’t look like he was too bitter at being allowed to return to Spain.
I’d prefer if you kept your sickening Fergie loving all the board altogether.
So you can just change the parameters of a comparison to suit your own argument? That’s an interesting approach.
But one you’re well used to all the same.

I said that Piqué was homesick and therefore unhappy. Maybe if Ferguson thought he could overcome this and challenge for a first team place he might have pushed harder to keep him. Obviously he didn’t hence he allowed him to go. Is that clear enough for you?
What about Rossi so?
Could forlan fit into that bracket or would he be too old?
He was 21 or so when joined
