Because Celtic didnât bid for him this summer after having a January enquiry turned down. I mentioned ages ago that if Celtic were to sign players within the SPL market then Fletcher, McCarthy and also Gomis of Dundee United would be the three standout players and ones that I wouldnât mind us taking a punt on.
I reckon heâs got talent and potential but Iâm not too pushed about missing out on him all the same. As I said a few weeks ago, McDonald and Fletcher is hardly Larsson and Sutton. Itâs amazing to think we had two of the best strikers in the world in our team only 5 years ago. I still retain some hope, probably misguided, that weâll pull something out of the fire and get a decent signing or two.

Heâs quick and can beat a man. Pathetic goalscoring record though, little guile and a poor crosser of the ball. A poor mans aaron Lennon.
Seriously if he is worth 16 m then Ashley young has easily a value of 30m plus considering heâs english as well as being far more talented obviously .
Isnt Valencia an international footballer? I dont believe Ashley has managed to nail down that hard fought for left wing spot for Ingerlund yet. I guess it must be all the competition for itâŚ

The thing is who cares.
I once boxed a rabbit in the ears but I donât go on about it.
Its true he should be first choice, though the guy in position at the moment is a decent player himself. You may have never heard of him but he goes by the name Steven Gerrard.

Well he has two feet similar to most human beings but if its the Steven Gerrard that has played on the left of midfield since Fabio Capello took over then yes.
Manchester United have confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo has joined Real Madrid and that the transfer fee of 80m has been paid in full. It was believed the money for the Portuguese winger may be paid in several instalments but the Premier League champions announced today that they have now received the full amount from Real Madrid.
The Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, said: "Cristiano has been a marvellous player for Manchester United. His six years at Old Trafford have seen him develop into the best footballer in the world.
âHis contribution has been a major factor in the clubâs success in that time and his talent, his ability to entertain and his infectious personality have enthralled fans the world over. Everyone here wishes him well in his future career.â
Ronaldo made 196 appearances for United and scored 84 goals after joining from Sporting Lisbon in 2003.

Ok you can stay in this thread if its just copying and pasting material from the internet.
But its been established that you will only make an idiot of yourself when you starting giving opinions so that privellege will have to be withdrawn. Its in your own best interests really.

I saw most of the second half of England-Andorra a couple of weeks ago after arriving in from the excellent Dublin-Wexford U21 hurling game. Ashley Young had been introduced at half time and was awfully poor with his display being characterised by running down blind alleys and wild, overhit crosses. I wouldnât be surprised if he turns out to be another half a season wonder like many heralded young English players before him.

Ah KIB, did I piss in your cornflakes last night by not agreeing that Young is the bestest ever player in the world ever?!
