Except he has been on the EPL team of the year for the last two seasons:rolleyes:. A fair achievement when you dont play for one of the big 5.
To be fair I’m not sure if Young really suits Capello’s style. Gerrard and Walcott tend to tuck in with the full back overlapping whereas Young does his best work on the touchline. I saw a bit of that game he didnt seem that sure of himself but still he created a couple of chances with crosses and good movement. The only thing I’m worried about is that he might think his England chances would be improved by moving to a Champions League side and unfortunately he would be right. Capello is biased towards the big 4 sides witness the caps given to Foster and how Gary Neville was even considered never mind picked for the last England squad. He’s the best wideman in the EPL easily and would walk on any of the big 4 sides. Champions League exposure might force Capello’s hand.
PFA team of the season awards are voted for in January so he might have had a good half season in 2007/08 also - I can’t recall to be honest. He was very much heralded on here last season so I made a point of looking out for him and he didn’t really do much of note in the last 20 odd games of the season. I suppose you’d ideally be looking for more productivity from him in the crucial latter stages of the campaign.
His form dipped slightly alright but still he embarrassed Zokora, Neville, Hibbert (just 3 I can recall) in forcing the opposition manager to take them off altogether as he was destroying them or else move them away from him. The so called rumour that he was totally out of form was incorrect. He started trying too hard if anything.
Just wondering Bandage out of those 20 odd games, how many did you watch?
PFA fucking team of the year? You’re kidding right? Is that the best you have?
By the way, I prefer not to refer to his colour when talking about his talents, to me he’s a person first and foremost, not a colour.
For someone outside the normal big 4 I reckon its still an achievement. Of course I’d trust my own eyes and judgement far more than a few thousand brainless footballers and Young is the best player I’ve ever seen play for the Villa not to mention the best wide man in the league comfortably.
The PC racism card your playing is the sign of a beaten man. Its a Rock tactic that you seem to have copied and pasted. Copy and paste is your speciality though:rolleyes:

Oh its a Big 4 now is it, I thought it was a Big 6 the other day? You seem rattled, are you ok?
I prefer to call them by their names KIB, not some token “”“racist”"" slur. Its the least they expect and deserve as human beings.

How long can Pool hold onto Torres I wonder?
The EPL is taking a battering this summer alright. Most teams will be back training in the next few weeks and there has yet to be any big name moves to the premiership. Ferguson will be seething if he misses out this Benzema chap.
With Ribery probably not moving, Kaka & Benzema gone to madrid and Tevez on his way to City while the other real top class footballers like torres, messi etc not for sale is there a possibility that Valencia could be United only major signing this summer…there isn’t much out there, David Silva maybe…

As long as Hicks and Gillet arent declared bankrupt which depending on how bad this recession will get might not be too long.
The new tax law for the super rich is having a major impact. Even Arshavin has been making noises and he’s only in the door.
Still though, the Real Madrid project could collapse like a pack of cards. Where are they getting the money? there is no money in the global markets yet they can get it out of thin air. I dont know but building up a huge debt pile is extremely risky - failure to win the Champions League next year could be disastrous and without a really high profile strong manager the egos in that dressing room could run riot. A new team always takes time to build anyway no matter who the players are.

I heard Arshavin clapped the fans after last night’s wonderful victory over Sophis. Not unlike Tevez’ last game for the Manc scum. Might be the last we see of him in the DART green. Might have to re-sign that loser, Ledge.

Real Madrid are the richest team in the world with a massive television deal & favourable tax laws-
