Milan Mandaric?

he never rated him at his peak but wants to get him when he is past it? odd

Iā€™d say Fergie would nearly bid for Robbie Keane at this point in an attempt to get an interntionally recognised striker.
If you are interested in signing him please review this dossier his agent has circulated to clubs:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1194209/MICHAEL-OWEN-BROCHURE-The-complete-32-page-agents-dossier-fallen-Newcastle-star-England-striker.html
Thats a fuckin joke. Gas that the doctor who gave him the medical all clear includes two of his past success stories as Kieron Dyer and Dean Ashton! Id say he is hardly on a retainer at Upton Park

Of course Fergie rated Owen in his peak. United were linked when he left Madrid but fee/wages put each of the big 4 off cos of the questions over his fitness. There could be value in this deal - free and apparently his wages will be halved. He relies on service and heā€™ll get more at United than Newcastle. Even at Madrid and Newcastle his stats still held up. Itā€™s an interesting one.

Owen is so far past it its ridiculous. If Newcastle had dropped him earlier they would have stayed up.

Cant believe this if true which it seems to be, Owen has no pace anymore which United badly need in a striker so he cant play off the last man. Heā€™ll will prob bang in a few against the minnows but then the whole media campaign about getting him into the World Cup squad will kick off again causing an unnecessary headache for the manager. The likes of Wigan werent interested and suddenly Fergie comes from nowhere!!!

Not a good sign for United fans.

Michael Chopra has gone back to cardiff, like most of Keaneā€™s signings he was a complete flop at Sunderland

I see Wolves bought Greg Halford last week from Sunderland - an utterly useless footballer.

they also have bobo training with them & they bought a defender from Marseille

Milan going after huntelar
Melo to Juve

Most of the Dutch will leave Madrid, be interesting to see where they end up

Apart from Cannavaro, has any other big name player left Madrid yetā€¦

How many ā€œbig nameā€ players do Madrid actually have though, in last seasonā€™s squad?

Right let me rephrase that, how many of last years first team players have leftā€¦

Cannavaro is finished anyway, looked well past it last season.

Loads of them would have wanted to leave before they got wind of the return of Perez, now they all want back on the gravy train, expecially if there is a whiff of a trophy or two, which there clearly is.

Arjen Robben would be a fine signing for Liverpool if the price is rightā€¦

thats what Inter Milan said about 10 years ago:D
