Summer Transfer Window 2009

for the 1st time in my life im tempted to get SKY

the spainish league is in a different stratosphere to verey league apart from serie A & they have the NFL too

zlatan is in the same class as ronaldo messi & totti & those 3 are worlds apart to the next best

Just to clarify, I consider Totti an attacking midfielder/secondary striker and that’s why I reckon Zlatan’s the best striker in the world. If you’re counting Totti as a striker then he’d overtake Zlatan and take the world’s best tag. Zlatan is an awesome footballer though. Anyone got the goal he scored against Bari last season?

You get to see Fletcher, O’Shea etc play as well. Win Win.

Totti the Scholes of Italy but without the success Scholes had at club level.

:D:clap::smiley:

Fook sake Barca going to have some attacking force next season with Zlatan joining. What a gifted footballer he is. Not sure I have ever seen a more exciting player. Quality players all going to La Liga this year by the looks of it.

has there ever been such a concentration of the best players in the world on just 2 teams- its off the hook - zlatan is probably the best player barca have now & that is high praise considering how good they were last season

In club football probably not no. Extraordinary level of quality at both clubs.

if totti went to spain then everyone else should give up as nothing will ever be like it again

btw thats more players to reject the EPL -& runt & sky sports keep talking about cattermole going from the lattics to the blades

City rejected Eto’o and Tevez rejected Real.

Not two clubs obviously but the Napoli/AC Milan/Inter trio around about 1989/1990 had pretty much all the world’s top players.

Maradona
Careca
Gullit
Van Basten
Rijkjaard
Baresi
Maldini
Matthaus
Klinsmann
Brehme

Great quality there although no Chris Morris. Up there with Barca, Madrid of today anyway.

Anton Rogan was the real missing link in those Serie A teams of the time. What a full back line up that Celtic team of 89/90 had. Glorious 5th place finish that season.

yeah- thats some array of class players

Zlatan is a class act, superb technique and should score goals for fun with the likes of Messi, Iniesta and Xaxi playing inch perfect balls for him…Eto’o is very good player but in term of technique and artistry Ibrahimovic is miles better…

Just looking at his Wiki there, 2 league titles in three seasons with Ajax, two seasons with Juve, two scudetto’s(although Juve were stripped of these), three seasons with Inter three scudetto’s…The man is a winner through and through…

Did David Villa signed for Barcelona or did it fall through?

Manchester United have signed Mame Biram Diouf from Molde.

They’ll be a bit worried though about the loss of Manucho who has decided to move to Real Valladolid. The exodus continues.
