Summer Transfer Window 2009
Manchester United have signed Mame Biram Diouf from Molde.

They’ll be a bit worried though about the loss of Manucho who has decided to move to Real Valladolid. The exodus continues.
Ferguson to be gone by Christmas, there is a mutiny on his hands…Who will the Glazers get to replace him, Steve Coppell?

Captainshan

Adebayor has complted his 25 million pound move to Man City…I would say that Arsenal are delighted…David Villa for Arsenal?, seeing as his move to Barcelona is off

Adebayor might be a decent impact sub for City I guess. They might even loan him out to some less well off club nearby.

News of the World reporting that Alonso will stay at Liverpool for another year and Liverpool want Ashley Young as well.

Should get him handy enough if he has any sort of ambition to him.

Bolton are weighing up a move for Newcastle winger Damien Duff. Manager Gary Megson, is also trying to conclude deals for Hull defender Sam Ricketts and Villa’s Zat Knight.

Sevilla’s Brazil international striker Luis Fabiano will not be joining AC Milan unless the Italian giants up their 12million offer, according to the player’s agent.

West Brom have rejected a second offer from Fulham of 3.25m for Jonathan Greening. The Baggies midfielder handed in a written transfer request earlier this month.

Thats what the fat spanish waiter thought about Barry

I thought Villa sold Barry?

They did but he wanted a biger and more ambitious club than Liverpool to move to.

No arguments here.

Barry wanted to join Liverpool last season. Villa put too high of a price on his head for Liverpool to match.

Man City are giving him at least 100k a week. Barry obviously values money over success.

Time will tell farmer. While Liverpool are obviously a Club with great success in its past, time will tell which of the two EPL Club have the brighter short term future.

A lot of people value money over success. Barry is setting himself up for life with this contract. Cant argue with that. With Alonso and Mascherano wanting to leave its unlikely there will be any success at Anfield either next season so his choice of club is fair enough. I reckon it wont go too well for him actually.

Liverpool cant afford the 35m for Young. In any case Rafa Benitez doesnt value his widemen witness playing buffers like Kuyt and Riera down the flanks. Cant see that happening. If Chelsea firm up their interest then I would be worried. He is a boyhood Arsenal fan but Wenger aint likely to shed out that kind of cash for anyone. Wouldnt rule Fergie out of making a move. Valencia will be the flop of the season imo.

35m for Young?!

35mill is a bit much but it would need to be at least 25mill to start negotiations

That’d be more like it. I’d imagine a Club would bid 20 and get pushed up a bit, but if Young wants to go, he’ll get out of there for 25 or so.

MARTIN ONEILL is expected to bid for the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jermaine Jenas, who is also attracting interest from Internazionale.
