Juventus are being heavily associated with a move for Diamanti in the summer. He’d be an excellent signing for them as they lack that bit of flair and cutting edge in attack and he has got a lot of quality in that area. They are also being linked with a bosman move for Daniele Bonera. He would be another thrifty purchase for them.
Ljajic and Cerci being lined with Milan and Galliani has confirmed they will be turning Zapata’s loan move into a permanent deal.
The Brazil international will travel to Barcelona this summer to open talks but a ex-official of his current club believes he is Allianz Arena-bound
Former Santos official Vicente Cascione has claimed that Neymar will leave the club for Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window to link up with former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola.
Barca are believed to be sitting in pole position to sign the 21-year-old, with the Brazil international having planned a trip to Catalunya after the Confederations Cup to discuss a potential transfer, while Real Madrid are also closely monitoring the attacker’s situation.
However, Cascione has insisted that Neymar will move to the Bundesliga instead and has already wrapped up a transfer to the Allianz Arena.
“I have this information first hand. Neymar has signed for Bayern Munich. It’s already a done deal,” Cascione wrote on his blog.
"I am not speculating here. This information is irrefutable. From August this year on, the player will be part of Bayern’s squad.
“So his next destination will not be Spain, like many expected. He’s not going to Barcelona or Real Madrid. He will go to Germany.”
Neymar has a contract with Santos until after the 2014 World Cup and his current club have so far insisted that he will not leave this summer.
Nevertheless, the attacker is keen to test himself in Europe and could be tempted to leave Santos this summer under the right circumstances.
With both Gotze and Neymar coming there will be a bit of a clear out at Bayern you would feel. Bad news for Shaqiri if that is the case, although he will have plenty of suiters no doubt if he is available
Neymar came out very emphatically recently to declare he’d be staying at Santos until after the World Cup. Maybe he’ll be bought but with a deferred move or maybe he wasn’t telling the truth but there have been countless definitive reports of his impending departure that have come to nothing.

Midfield, center half and a wide man are a must if Liverpool are to move on.[/quote]
With a bit of transfer nous filing those 3 positions should be very achievable.

Liverpool need a pair of full backs as well. Enrique has done well in the second half of the season but he lacks a little bit of subtlety and Liverpool lack a genuine alternative there while Johnson is a defensive nightmare.
Agreed, but I think CD/CM are higher priorities and with a limited budget i’d prefer to see two quality signings in these positions first. Left back is a concern alright- but on the right, Kelly, Wisdom and I hope McLaughlin (who has star potential) will all be seen as cover/alternatives so that position will be left alone I feel.
@Runt Sterling has been injured for the last month or so - Rodgers has hinted at a little bit of burn out. He started brilliantly when called upon, but after 9/10 games he faded. He only turned 18 this year and physically has a bit to go so hopefully he spends the summer working on strength and conditioning.

Kelly, to me seems like an average centre back being played out of position while Wisdom has looked liked a poor centre back playing out of position. McLaughlin impressed me when he started against Roma in pre-season, surprised he hasn’t got more opportunities this season. One of my pet hates is centre backs playing as full backs.
I have criticised Rodgers a lot this season (because he’s a cunt) but Liverpool have definitely made progress as the season has went on. He deserves credit for getting some decent performances from Downing and Henderson and has Liverpool playing some nice football. Borini and Allen should have much better second seasons next year and if he can sort the defence out and add some creative quality in midfield and attack then next season could be very good.
I’d like to see Assaidi get more of a role, he could potentially be a decent player for Liverpool.
Benat has been linked with a 10m euro move to Bilbao, who had him as a kid I think. Granero has been ruled out of a move to Betis though which might stall the first one.
