This, if true, could be a good move for both parties. United need better quality all round midfielders and Fabregas needs to get back into that position. He’s no false 9.
Utd supposed to be in talks with Di Maria’s agent also. Di Maria is bring touted as a makeweight in a few deals Real Madrid are exploring so he seems to be on the way out. He’s a good player and he would be a vast improvement on either Nani or Valencia.
I wouldn’t be disappointed with the signing of Fabregas.
Both of those would be terrific signings for United. Fabregas hasn’t made much if an impression at Barca but I think they need more players of his age group at the club so would be surprising to sell him. He also took a long time to get his move, be strange to give it up quickly.
Shhhh, this is going to be fun.
Fabregas has been linked with both Milan clubs as well. Not sure if they could afford them, if Milan make a big signing this summer he would be perfect.
Utd were interested in Alcantra(sp?) last summer. Would be a more realistic target than Fabregas. It would be strange indeed if Fabregas left Barcelona that quickly.
We will be unstoppable next year with Fabregas, Ronaldo and Di Maria on board.
Don’t forget Falcao…oh and lewandowski…
Would be surprised if Madrid left Di Maria go, he really is a quality player. Excellent in attack, does a great job defensively as well and is fairly flexible in the different tactical roles he offers a side. They would be fools to let him go IMHO
Was surprised when I read it to be honest. Would have thought he was doing well at Madrid but I suppose someone has to make way for new players.
It’ll probably end up as Zaha and Baines
Quite probably though United desperately need a midfielder with Scholes retiring, Fletcher unlikely to make a return, Anderson just getting fatter ( though maybe Moyes’s training camp could sort that) and Cleverly not really up to it. Though Fellani will probably the one that is bought if anyone.
Gibson could make a spectacular return.
Oh Christ I’d forgotten him. Thanks for depressing me even further.
Kevin De Bruyne has agreed a 5 year deal with Dortmund. Clubs still have to agree a fee but looks as though it will be around €15 million
Is Eriksen still a target as a result of this Rocko
I would presume so. De Bruyne is fairly versatile and can pretty much play anywhere across the midfield while Erikson looks to be more a direct replacement for Gotze as an attacking midfielder.
Erikson has said that Everton, Liverpool and Dortmund all have made approaches, it is belived that Dortmund is his preferred choice

Naturally… Without CL football, or even looking close to it, Liverpool will do well to attract many high profile players. I have only seen Eriksen play the once mind, I don’t know much about him but from the reading around he seems a tad overrated?

Yeah I’d agree with that. They’re still looking to replace Kagawa too who was replaced by Goetze moving inside and Eriksen could take over there but another midfielder would move them further on from Kehl, Grosskreuz and the likes.
When you compare their squad depth to Bayern’s then they could use the extra quality.
