Summer Transfer Window 2013

Arsenal don’t have anything close to 25 players so I presume they can add to the list even after the window closes.

Nope, that isn’t how it works. There is a deadline and once that passes you cannot register any until January aside from an Emergency situation like numerous goalkeepers being injured

Stephen Hunt is also available in the same manner, I presume Arsene is tracking him also.

Arsenal have enquired/inquired about Fabio Quagliarella and James McCarthy of Wigan.

Gazzetta report that Lazio are v.close to signing Burak Yilmaz from Galatasaray for €12m + add ons

Norwich turned down Quagliarella a month ago.

Matri to AC Milan!

Arsenal’s capture of Flamini has been confirmed. Three year deal.

Decent signing in my opinion.

He’s also best mates with Cesc so will be nice for them both when Cesc rejoins next summer.

What does that take the total spending this summer to Brian Tinnion?

£0 including add ons. Exciting times to be a Gooner.

And people said Wenger wouldn’t sign anyone.

The man is a genius.

Arsenal have spent £0. By the time they ship out Bendtner I conservatively estimate they’ll have saved about £450,000 a week / £23.4m a year in wages (even after adding Flamini and Sanogo).

That is how you run a football club.

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Samuel Eto’o.

Torres off to Barca then?

I think Eto’o will be great fun and almost makes up for the fact that Liverpool couldn’t sign that fellow Costa from Atletico.

Matri has signed for Milan.

He’s a decent player but I feel Milan have far more pressing areas than getting another attacker in, they could do with a couple of midfielders and a centre back.

Kaka wants to leave Madrid!!!

Hopefully this footballing legend comes back to Serie A.

I had forgotten how athletic Kaka was. I haven’t seen him play much for Madrid but would I be right in saying that he has lost that great pace he once had?

He’s not as quick as he was but I think people have written Kaka off merely on the fact that Madrid is a circus. It’s hard for top attacking players to shine there as the side is built around Ronaldo. Kaka’s game was much more than just pace, he was one of the most elegant, composed and intelligent footballers I’ve ever seen. Madrid just didn’t use him properly. I also don’t think the short passing, high tempo, possession-centred style of Spanish football suited him.

Liverpool allegedly interested in Shay Given according to the Guardian. Would be disappointing for him to finish his career as a back up keeper.
