Summer Transfer Window 2014

Vermaelen to United. Is Arsene having a clear out or a walk out?

He can be the new Laurent Blanc.

Vermaelen is 28

And Blanc was actually decent at one point in his career

Vermaelen is 28
The new William Prunier, then.

Big Louie

Rakitic to Barca is a done deal. €20 million.

They are also being heavily linked with a move for Gonzalo Higuain

John O Shea to Spurs :o

£3m is the fee mentioned, it’s an absurd story. I would be shocked if there is anything to it.

Balotelli continues to be linked with Arsenal, think they may be something in this - I think he has tried the patience of Galliani and Berlusconi too far at Milan and they want rid of him while Arsenal do need a top class striker. Balotelli’s best form has came with Italy in his career and I think one of the reasons is he focuses on his football when he is away with a tight knit team, when he leaves the training pitch he is still with his team. At club level once he leaves the training pitch he is off to his own devices and usually causing trouble which definitely impacts on his football. He’s got to a stage where he really needs to cop himself on as he has all the ability and attributes to be one of the best strikers in the game but doesn’t apply himself properly.

Wenger really has to push the boat out in the transfer market this summer, they need 3 or 4 top class signings and he also needs to get the required depth in his side. They’re been linked with some good players like Sanchez, Balotelli, Bender and Vela so if they can get players like this in and add depth then there is no reason why they shouldn’t be putting up a concerted title race.

Is Campbell likely to play for them next season, he’s looked very promising the few times I’ve seen him. They don’t have many natural attacking options from wide which has led to them using players like Ozil, Cazorla and Ramsey there so bringing in guys like Vela and Sanchez would be excellent signings.

Balotelli a good player

Ffs let it go…

Why would anyone fork out big money for Balotelli?

Balotelli a good player

Ffs let it go…
Balotelli has tonnes of ability and he has shown this on numerous occasions but not consistently. Application is Balotelli’s biggest problem, he gave a great performance in the second half of the England game and Jagielka and Cahill couldn’t handle him.

Lescott in talks with West Brom.

The problem for Milan is that they will surely have to take a hit on him. He might be worth a €10m punt if some manager thinks he can change him because he’s a good player but his attitude is disgraceful. He is like a man-child and the likelihood is he’ll be finished playing top level football by the time he’s 26 or 27. Milan will be the 3rd club he’s been fucked out of when it happens and there’s only so many chances people will give him.

Balotelli would go nuts if he moved to London.

Aye, because Milan is like Leitrim in comparison.

Kaka looks to be heading to Orlando City via a short spell at Sao Paulo. Milan look to be trying to get a few big earners off the payroll this summer with Kaka, Balotelli, Robinho, Essien and Mexes all looking to be on the punt list. Agazzi, Alex and Menez have already joined so Inzaghi’s rebuilding job is well under way. Thought Kaka was one of the few Milan players who could come out of last season with their head held high but I think Inzaghi wanting to go with a 4-3-3, Kaka’s age and his wages have decided Milan’s intention to sell him.

From Setanta.com

Here we go again.

The Sunday Times have claimed that Luis Suarez will demand a move to Spain after the World Cup if either Barcelona or Real Madrid meet his release clause.

The newspaper claim that the Uruguayan has a release clause of approximately £68m in his contract and that Suarez will insist Liverpool allow him move should the Spanish giants trigger it.

Last summer Arsenal met the then release clause by lodging a bid of £40,000,001 but Liverpool refused to allow the striker to move to the Emirates, a decision which almost ended up in the courts and led manager Brendan Rodgers to briefly banish Suarez to train with the youth team.

The former Ajax man returned from his brief exile and the remainder of a long ban for biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic to fire Liverpool to an unlikely challenge, picking up both player of the year awards for his at-times brilliant goalscoring exploits.

The newspaper claim that Suarez is still angry at his treatment from the period, claiming: “Sources close to Suarez say he was upset when the Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers, said the team had not missed him when he was banned for the first five games of the 2013-14 Premier League season.”

Seeing as Suarez and Rodgers were consistently full of praise for each other throughout the season, that would seem unlikely but it could be the opening shot in another long drawn-out and increasingly bitter summer transfer saga.
