There was a piece in the build up to one of their Champions Leagues ties last spring - A good few of the Ajax team were coveted last summer, Van Der Sar, Overmars and Ten Hag asked the key players to stay and give it one more year as they felt they were building a strong side and they wouldnāt stand in lads way this summer if they wanted to move, the vast majority did. Think Justin Kluivert was the only one they sold last summer.
You could argue that the fees are small compared to the EPL spending, but Ajax revenue and TV money would be a lot less than most EPL sides and the top sides in Europe which makes it all relative.
Arenāt wages, signing on fees plus length of contract a huge factor in the transfer value? I presume this Ajax players would be on very small bonuses and maybe 20k a week max?
Something fairly small - think @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy mentioned it once or twice during their run that the domestic TV revenue is tiny. Something like ā¬20 million a year.
Could be wrong but I also think that in recent years that some of the prize money earned by individual dutch clubs is pooled and distributed to the other sides who were not in Europe that season. Not sure of the percentage but it is a noble enough gesture from the bigger dutch sides to give some bit of a leg up to the smaller teams and try and keep the domestic league producing players.
Disappointing to see Milan flogging their Primavera players and not putting the trust in them. Big risk for Cutrone too, heād be better off joining a bottom half Serie A side where he is more likely to get regular football. Thereās a fair chance he will spend a lot of time on the bench at Wolves with the money they have to splash about.
this lad is clean useless - but what the absolute fuck is going on here???
November will be some craic- im assuming he will follow his brotherās line
if anyone has been to their ground theyāll know
