Solanke ripped it up on the Championship last year, banging in 15 goals. More than justifying his price tag. I’d imagine the Klopp Development Index was a big factor in Bournemouth stumping out the cash.
It probably explains the crazy money Liverpool spend on agents.

Serious man to lead the line at that level. A World Cup U20 winner who played for England seniors against Brazil while at Liverpool. Serious potential there you’d feel. A bit like with Rhian Brewster it’s sad to see these young talents leave.

Golden Ball winner at U20 World Cup further tutored by Coach Klopp. Cheap at twice the price.
The drop off in these starlets once they exit the Klopp Development programme is stark. Brewster was scoring twice against a crack Red Bull Salzburg outfit for Liverpool and couldn’t reach those heights with cloggers at Sheffield United.

He played 4 times en route to the Champions League final that season. Even jumping ahead of Danny Ings in the pecking order on occasion.
Ben Davies will be a class example of Liverpool cooking the books.
They buy a dud from the Championship who who never plays a game for them for around £1m and the sell him off to one of their shell clubs for £10m or so a few months later.

That’s the same Ben Davies Celtic were desperate to sign? I think his contract was almost up so Liverpool got a real bargain at €1 million last January in the midst of an injury crisis.

A great bit of business … they’ll turn him around for 3-5m. Brilliant to have such an efficient smart team on the ball with these things … Like keeping an eye on waivers and the injury list for NFL fantasy.

You’ve a few crackpots here that will bemoan billions being spent by some clubs - then bemoan when others try to be prudent and do smart business … it’s almost like some guys will never be happy and just want to complain on the INTERNET.
That’s because Liverpool wash the funds invested through dodgy transfer dealings. It shows up as self generated income when in reality it’s funded by their owners.

Nearly a billion since 2016. They’ll surely go well over that this summer too when they poach Harry Kane from Spurs. It bothers them greatly that Liverpool have caused them so much bother since early 2018 on a fraction of that budget.
It bothers Liverpool fans that Conte was able to deliver a title in his first season by taking over a 10th place team with a net spend of £18m.
Meanwhile Liverpool had to break numerous world transfer records and wait 5 seasons before Klopp could finally deliver one.
