Weāre staying up, never in doubt.
Massive. Absolutely massive.
Best weāve played in months. Thoroughly deserved the three points. Spurned chance after chance to kill it off - Ogbene missed about four one-on-ones alone! - but got there in the end.
The polar opposite of the sipid, spineless displays of recent months. They were all up for it. Pretty much a 4-4-2 with Ogbene wreaking havoc on the left. Bold move to pair Tosi and Berki up front but it paid off in spades.
Peno looked a bit soft but it was evened up when Bohs were awarded an equally dubious one. Brendan Clarke dived to his left to make a terrific save. We are still vulnerable at set pieces or facing any aerial bombardment but held on anyway. The majority of the 994 in attendance went home happy.
Four points above the drop zone now. Have Harps at home in consecutive weeks now. FAI Cup first next weekend. The league game the week after is massive. Win that and one leg in the top flight for 2018.
Great roar at half time when that gimp JP Dillon announced the result from Thurles. Iām off for a feed of porter and will watch the hurling back on Sky Plus inebriated at around 2am. Great night for the working class sports fans of Limerick.
Enjoy!
Enjoy the few pints mate.
Good reporting Dodgy.
A great night for Limerick sport.
0-0 HT at home to ten man Finn Harps
One up
Won 1-0. Pity it wasnāt the league game.
Weāre going to win the cup.
Cork or Rovers at home please.
Back in the Marketās Field for the first time in a while.
Not the most interesting game, felt we were the better side without really creating anything early on. Harps didnāt offer much either. After the red card, we probably had to win and we got the goal in the end, I donāt think Clarke had a single save to make.
Berki likes a flick but Iām not sure he offers more than OāFlynn really. OāConnor is not a left-back. Lynch is much better through the middle but in a midfield 2, itās not the game heās used to. Thought Hery was our best player.
The cup is a realistic target now that relegation has definitely been avoided
I am trying to think of something that happened in 1982 the year Limerick last won the blue riband of Irish soccer . Offaly or Kk wont win the AIs . Aston Villa didnāt win the EUropean Cup . Liverpool didnāt win the English league love
Away to Galway is a decent draw, semi final and massive bandwagon awaits
Coughlan headig New Zealand next week with a buddy of mine.
which Coughlan, G or R?
Garv
Did well the other night when he came on and has got a few goals recently. Probably not good enough to start really.
One down just before HT
Just missed a peno.
Finn Harps down to 10 men
