Yes and after they got hockeyed against clare the ballooon burst and all the fans disappeared.

Limerick sporting “fans” are great for a bandwagon but that’s about it.

Carlow was a walk over, you hardly blame fans who had spent a good few bob over the previous 4 games for skipping that and saving it for a QF… the same 12-15k from the round robin came back… There was only about 6k Kilkenny at that game.

Limericks support was consistent throughout and of course you got the bandwagon crew once they got to the semi finals, no county is different on that front.

Limerick hurlers have a hardcore following of 3 or 4K.

That’s fine. But the support was consistent throughout the summer last year, 12-15 k until you got to the semi finals…

It wasn’t. There wasn’t 10-12k at the Kilkenny game, Carlow game or the clare game. The support for the Tipperary game was shy of 10k too. We barely brought 5k to any of the league games either. Once we beat tipp in championship the bandwagon was in full swing. I’d also very much doubt there was 10k limerick fans at the cork game in cork.

Are you really trying to say KK fans outnumbered us in thurles? :joy: it was easily 11/7 in favour of Limerick. That is been generous to KK

Alternative facts🤔!

On the INTERNET

Almost certainly. There was a decent neautral crowd at that game too.

He’s internetting. Roll with it…

There was more limerick fans in Ennis than was at the 1/4 in thurles against Kilkenny. The balloon burst for a few weeks.

Not this craic again :poop:

You are spouting garbage here lad. Limerick fans outnumbered Kilkenny 3-1. I would say 12,000 Limerick fans would be correct. Be lucky to have 4,000 Kilkenny and a few thousand neutrals at best.

what was the crowd for their first league game?

37 and a half

1,450.

Odd question… Why do the figures at pre season test matches matter?

Don’t think you had this eventuality covered in your pre-season predictions?
