Some bizarre comments in there.
Limerick FC could be reaping the rewards of that policy, with the recent high-profile sales of Chiedozie Ogbene to Brentford, and Paudie O’Connor to Leeds United.
Pretty sure O’Connor was a free agent when he left and Ogbene went for free as far as I know? Maybe they managed a sell on clause for Ogbene, but I can’t see how they managed one for O’Connor.
“Limerick needs to produce its own players. That’s why we’ve invested so much in our academy. That all comes out of Pat O’Sullivan’s pocket and his family’s pocket. I’ve done this as I wanted to make a contribution to Limerick, clearly not for any personal gain,” he said in a wide-ranging interview with the Limerick Leader.

All slagging aside they had built up a reasonable core support at one stage and there was a fairly decent atmosphere at the games largely due to them lads. Pissing them off is silly really.
I know one or two of the lads who were home and away supporters.
All they did was criticize Russell. O’Sullivan and his ego couldn’t handle it.
He fell out of love with it fair quick.
