Bet she’d be happy to fumble with Brady’s deflated balls.
Would it lead to mickeyleaks
Patriots
Cardinals
New England grudgingly impressed me last week and look to have gotten a lot healthier since the end of the regular season. Denver were muck offensively and Manning looks a busted flush, albeit not helped by his receivers dropping bread and butter passes.
This comes down to the Denver D getting to Brady and whether the Broncos can establish the running game they need. A lot of ifs.
New England by 10.
The NFC is very hard to call. Two very similar teams. Excellent, aggressive fronts, strong secondaries, good ball carriers and receivers. It may come down to turnovers and whoever gets the edge at QB. Newton is more mobile, but nobody runs a whole pile on Arizona. Palmer has the better arm but is prone to silly turnovers at times. It’s a coin flip and if the game were in Glendale I’d call it the other way.
Carolina in overtime.
Pats (-3)
Over in the NFC, (47.5) probably Carolina to win, don’t have a bet on it either way.
Harris not being 100% could undermine Denver’s defence, Roby is fine from the slot but Harris is the best in the league from there.
Brady will move the ball and score points, the Broncos won’t be able to score enough with Manning.
Short and Lotulelei could honestly murder Palmer, Palmer will murder the Carolina secondary if those two don’t blow up the pocket often enough. I doubt the Cardinals will try run the ball at all.
The Panthers are good for about 35 points in this game. Should be fun.
I’ve taken a punt on the Pats (-6.5) and doubled it with Panthers and the overs in the other game
Plenty to pick from the player props, David Johnson under 67.5 yards is generous
New England Patriots (13-4) at Denver Broncos (13-4)
Tom Brady has thrown more TD passes at Mile High this year (3) than Peyton Manning. In 6 games at home this season, Manning has thrown 1 touchdown and 8 interceptions.
Tom Brady will be playing in his 10th conference Championship Game. That’s more than 27 other NFL teams.
Including this upcoming game in San Francisco, either Brady or Manning have been the QB of the AFC team in 9 of the last 13 Super Bowls.
Sunday marks the 17th meeting between Brady and Manning during their illustrious careers. Brady leads their series 11 wins to 5 and has 4 Super Bowl wins to Manning’s 1.
Denver boast the number one-ranked defense in the NFL. Brady is 3-0 during the playoffs against top-ranked defenses during his career.
Brady is 2-6 in his career at Mile High with his only wins coming against Danny Kanell and Tim Tebow.
Patriots are playing in their 5th consecutive AFC Championship Game, tying the 1973-1977 Oakland Raiders for longest streak in NFL history. They have won 1 Super Bowl during that span.
Homefield advantage is huge for the Broncos. They are 5-1 all time at home in AFC title games. They are also 3-0 in home playoff games against New England.
The Broncos will be aiming for at least 105 rushing yards in this game – when they have reached that total this season they are 9-0 including the playoffs. When held below 105 rushing yards, they have a record of 4-4.
The Broncos are 12-1 on the season when they have at least 1 defensive takeaway.
Arizona Cardinals (14-3) at Carolina Panthers (16-1)
This is the first playoff game in the Super Bowl era featuring 2 teams who average more than 30 points per game. Carolina ranked first in the NFL with 31.3 points per game and Arizona were second with 30.6 points per game.
Both defenses create turnovers. Carolina led the NFL with 39 takeaways and scored 148 points off takeaways. Arizona ranked second with 33 takeaways and 140 points.
Cam Newton has more rushing yards this season (636) than Carson Palmer has in 13 NFL seasons (424).
Palmer has never had a run over 15 yards. Cam achieved that 7 times in 2015 alone.
Carolina went 8-0 at home during the regular season while the Cardinals went 7-1 on the road.
Cardinals rookie RB David Johnson scored an NFL-leading 9 touchdowns on the road in 2015.
Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald has averaged 114 receiving yards in his 8 playoff games and has scored 10 post-season touchdowns.
Arizona blitzed more than any other NFL team during the regular season (44.5% of the time). Cam Newton threw more TD passes (18) vs. the blitz than any other NFL QB in 2015.
Panthers have rushed for more than 100 yards in 30 straight games. That is the longest streak in the NFL since the 1974-1976 Pittsburgh Steelers.
Don’t eagerly await the battle between Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald and Panthers cornerback Josh Norman. Fitzgerald lined up in the slot 51.2% of the time but Norman only covered the slot on 1.4% of his plays.
Come off the stats fence, pal. Call the games.
Patriots by 6+, Panthers by 3+
Still spots left in TFKs inaugural NFL fantasy game for cash money. Your last chance to take money off your gridiron loving e-friends til September. Come out ye cunts!
Ah game day. It makes you feel alive.
The prospect of Von Miller pummelling the shite out of Brady and the likelihood that Gronk will try to run straight through the Denver secondary and wond why TJ Ward is able to her a clean hit on his knees (the bastard!).
Denver (the worst top seeds in the AFC if you were to believe some critics) versus the falling empire…
#OMAHA!
oh and @Gman and @ChocolateMice…
Best of luck…
You horrible cunts.
I’d wish Denver luck but they don’t need it, they will have the officials.
It’s a bit early to be coming up with excuses.
Enjoy the build up pal!
I’ll be lifting and packing away all day, pal… Have to watch it on my tablet in princess’ sisters house as we won’t have wireless for another week.
God the AFC is full whiny self important blow yards.
I’m glad the NFC title game hasn’t been besmirched by such shite.
I’m torn between the Cards and the Panthers as both are such entertaining teams but I’ll plump for the latter purely swayed by Cam’s infectious love of the game.
Shame this is the late game, it will be far more entertaining.
+1 on all of that (apart from the slur on the Jets by extension).
Second game has the makings of a classic. Lots and lots of time for the Cards but Cam is the man. They laughed at me when I said he’d be the #1 pick, they laughed at me when I drafted him for the Provos. Nobody’s laughing now.
New England Carolina Superbowl for me
I’m going for Dinviiir/Arizona. Cardinals are a more balanced team, and have no weak links like the Panthers do at receiver and DBs not named Josh Norman. Really wanted to pick the Patriots, but I think the Broncos have an all time great defense, and will be able to disrupt Brady enough to allow Peyton stumble over the line.
