With Alonso in town surely the Eagles will cut DeMeco Ryans now. That will free up another €6 million to play with in free agency.

He had a sensational rookie season and looked to be joining the elite at his position. Never played a down last year after he did his ACL. The big question is can he recover his old form and return 100%? If he does the Eagles will be clear winners in this trade IMO.

The Eagles D was pretty weak last year so all and any upgrades are welcome.

Not sure what Kelly has in mind for the offense though. DeSean Jackson cut last year, McCoy traded away now, doubts about commitment to Foles as long term QB. I think Maclin is a free agent and may be away too? The main offensive spots are all up in the air at the same time.

Bill Barnwell of Grantland reckons the Eagles have done better out of the trade. He touches on the Oregon issue and mentions possibly targeting DeMarco Murray or Randall Cobb in free agency.

Green Bay have a decent amount of cap room.
Unless Cobb has long term injury worries or is a proper arsehole it would surprise me to see them let him go.

Now we know exactly.

It’s $33,030,981.

On Monday, the salary-cap number for the 2015 season was set at $143.28 million.

Last week, we had been operating under an estimated cap, which was believed to be $143 million.

It’s only a difference of $280,000, but to be exact, it means the Packers’ adjusted salary cap for this season is $151,471,106, which includes $7,791,106 in unused cap space that will carry over from last season and another $400,000 adjustment, according to the NFLPA figures released on Monday.

With the top-51 contract plus the dead money, the Packers have $118,440,215 committed to their cap.

They have 11 players scheduled to be unrestricted free agents next week. Among them is receiver Randall Cobb, who would have to be notified by 4 p.m. ET time if he is going to get the franchise or transition tag. There has been no indication the Packers plan to tag Cobb, but we will know officially in about an hour.

The NFL recently announced the 2015 salary cap will be $143.28 million per team, up from $133 million last season.
Free agency begins March 10 at 4 p.m. Eastern.

49ers and Bears could be trading Wilhoite and Marshall with a later round draft pick thrown in for good measure,would be a cracking trade which would give us an elite WR and get rid of Stevie Johnson and his insane salary.Nice pick up of Darnell Dockett at DT from the Cardinals aswell!

They’ll probably release Johnson alright, but once he realises teams won’t give him what he thinks he’s worth, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him back in Santa Clara, he has a good rapport with Kaepernick
