Super Bowl LVI - The intricate incline to Inglewood (Part 1)

you brought HOF players into the discussion, I pointed out Brady won 3 superbowls with a poor enough offence, your new excuse was that it was the defence won those superbowls.

I have no agenda when it comes to NFL, I’m player and team agnostic.

Some of you lads are making an absolute show of yourselves trying to run down Brady’s achievements.

No you asked did Brady ever hand weapons like Brees and Rodgers had/has. The answer is he very much did. He had two of the greatest to ever do it who were far better than anything Brees or Rodgers had.

Defense predicated on taping the opposition. Brady getting them to field goal range the first two, Donovan McNabb having a breakdown in 2004.

Add in Malcolm Butler taking advantage of brain dead play calling, and Atlanta going further in that regard, and the shine comes off the rings.

Bradys best QB performance was in 2017, but he wasn’t the best QB in the field that day. Excellent at doing what he’s told otherwise.

The big draw back is the QB. Won’t cut it.

One of the most pivotal moment in Brady’s career was the sea hawks fuck up on the line. That would have left Brady 3-3 in six superbowls. Could have gone a very different way for him then.

So who won the buccs first Superbowl? Brad Johnson or the Defense?

Super Bowl MVP Dion Branch is 1 anyway !

Edleman was a QB turn WR. It was Brady that made him and Welker as much as anything…

Moss was legit. Gronk too.

Brady won Superbowl LI without Gronk…Edleman, Amendola, Hogan, Mitchell at WR. Bennett at TE. White, Lewis, Blount at RB.

Moss is arguably the only top receiver he ever had with Pats.

You could flip the same with Rodger’s and argue Adams is the only top receiver he’s had and that it was Rodgers that made Nelson and Jennings as much as anything.

At the end of the day Brady has found a way to win more often than not. Guys can cite Bill, cheating, how his family love him and Aaron’s don’t love him… But there’s no sympathy in this game for anybody. Aaron limping around last week letting us all know he’s hurt … Tom played with an MCL injury all last year and got on with it. Winners find a way…

Greenbay are the favourites this year, time to deliver.

RBs never won anything, that’s who they’re paid buttons

Rodgers has won a Super Bowl with a mediocre offence, he made Jordy Nelson a star, just a guy in reality

Noted. :grinning:

Kamara has a 75m dollar contract, Aaron Jones has a 48 million dollar contract. Henry has a 50 million dollar contract.

Buttons?

Which receivers on the NO Saints are on more ? Thomas and Adams from NO and Packers?

emmit smith wrecked the bills in the SB

December/January is smash mouth football… You need RBs to move the chains or you’re at nothing. The Chiefs couldn’t/ didn’t last year in the SB.

He’s not in the top half of QBs on the likely playoff teams, and that’s probably part of the 12/1 price, but he’s not asked to do anything wild and is excellent at play action stuff.

Bill O’Brien, having done his coaching rehab at Alabama, is interviewing for the Jags HC job.

That could be a good one for Lawrence. He was so so with the Texans. Did some good things, but made some major fuck ups and the finish was atrocious. It was almost like he was destroying them from within. Texans players by and large all played for him and liked him, which will be change from the weird shit of Urban Meyer. Jags are a shambles, so any improvement will be a success. O Brien could do that, a mid level team going ok. I dont think he’ll make them a superbowl winner, his team lost pretty much all their playoffs I think despite winning the division 4 or 5 times. Wouldnt be the worst move for them anyway.

After a Nick Saban paint job and polish - they come out gleaming.

The Texans were competitive under him tbf.

He was a decent coach but not able to run the GM side at the same time, made some crazy trades and contract decisions

Be a good appointment for Jags
