Super Bowl LVI - The intricate incline to Inglewood (Part 1)

Carr rightfully giving Rodgers the credit for the win here. Raiders are the x team this year

Bengals, Chiefs, Buccs should all go through, the rest are too tight to call.

Fucked themselves

Raiders had to go to Arrowhead if they tied. They see probably see Cincy as a winnable matchup. Was it worth the risk? Possibly not but in victory, it looks a magnificent and gutsy call.

They did everything they could to tie it. How many 4th and longs did the Bolts convert?

The safe choice was to let the clock run out and you’re in. Going for the kick to win it was a risk.

A lot is being made of the Charger timeout and how it changed Raiders’ strategy. I don’t buy it.

The TO changed nothing. The real fuck up was allowing Jacobs to gain 10 yards when you KNEW they were going to run inside.

Shame the Eagles got the Bucs, thought they might be a decent play off spoiler but they won’t be able to dominate on the ground v the Bucs which will goose them.

Some toss up games in wild card weekend

The chargers will always break your heart.

Raiders have a decent secondary but Bengals should have enough for them.
I can’t see the Pats shutting down Allen… They’ll need to get out in front and manage the clock. The offence has stuttered the last month. Bills win.
Chiefs easy win.

Buccs have been stuttering themselves with injuries but playoff Lenny is back and Gronk, Gronk, Gronk… Bucs win.
Niners to do a job on Dallas. If the bring the aggression we saw yesterday Cowboys fold like a cheap tent.
Rams to beat Cards… Donald and co will squeeze Murray to death.

Hard to argue with any of that. Raiders and 9ers best chances of upsets.

Cards have lost 3 of the last 4, including 1 to the Rams. If Stafford can’t get them past Arizona they need to trade for Goff back.

Arians getting walked all over this week.

Insubordination from Tom and a slap in the face to his teammate Blaine Gabbert, who can’t we trusted to check down to Gronk.

Dallas are a great team running downhill … They beat the Pats early season in OT up against a Rookie QB. Other than that they’ve lost to the three other playoff teams they’ve faced this year - Cards (desperately out of form) Raiders (put 36 points up on Cowboys) and Chiefs. They also got bullied and beaten by the Broncos. They’ve had two 50 + point wins recently but were against a Washington team fighting with each other and a second string Eagles… If you look at the first game against Washington, the football team had a nightmare start, 3 big mistakes led to 3 TDs but they came out second half and battered the Cowboys who just about fell over the line. Once the pressure is turned up a notch - the cowboys don’t like it up em.

I’m all in on my beloved Niners.

The return of Moseley was massive yesterday in the corner as he really shores up what was a huge issue in the secondary all season. Kwaun Williams was even out who is the nickel back who would have taken up Kupp.

The best part of it was the rookie Thomas getting the game winning pick after keeping Beckham out of it all night, he is improving game after game after a ropey beginning to his career and that final play he made the confidence boosting pick he was so close to getting in recent weeks(it was actually an excellemt piece of defending watch his head movement, had the ball tracked several times in flight)

Any word on Trent and Kwaun for next week. Hopefully a banged up Zeke makes as little impact as Michel and it is Dak or bust.

The Rams clinch the division but they don’t look much better than last year after a good start to the season.
McVay was giving it the big’un early doors last night, running down to the redzone trying to get in on the high fives. I thought it was really stupid carry-on… He had a nice scapegoat in Goff last couple if years… He has traded the house for this roster. It’s all on him now
