I think the Panthers got value for McCaffrey (even before they won today).
2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th round pick - RBs just aren’t that valuable. It’s mostly about the O-line, even for a flex player like McCaffrey.
That’s before you even start to factor in his injury history. Once you factor that in, coupled with the fact that 49ers RBs are especially injury prone, it becomes a great deal for the Panthers.
