We never really saw what Ferguson or Cody were like with another team probably because it takes years to create a culture and that winning mentality. Will be interesting to see where Bill rocks up next. Panthers are clueless and devoid of any talent, Dan Quinn is in line for the Seahawks job, Washington (see Panthers), Atlanta has some talent but no QB and finishing mid tier means they probably wont be able to draft one, raiders are the raiders (complete basket case). Chargers would be interesting as they should be competitive and have an elite QB but they seem like a souless team and a complete non entity. They have no culture nevermind a winning one. Taking the Franchise out of San Diego was a compete disaster. So I bet Bill dons his slippers and spends some more time with the grandkids.

It seems the chaps who just started watching the NFL at the height of their success aren’t aware that it was built on defense at the outset.

I was only speaking about his head coaching career which was below replacement level when Brady wasn’t starting at QB.
With the rules changing over the past 15 years and especially in the last 5 or so the only show in town is the offensive side of the ball. The Patriots had an excellent defence this year and it was worth fuck all. Belichick has been a disaster in the draft for a decade and left the offense threadbare as a result.
I’m fully aware of Belichicks origins going back to Navy with his father and his love of Lacrosse.
