Ferguson is still quite raw. He was loitering behind the defence a while back and the overlapping left back was played in, racing after a defence splitting ball that was heading towards the end line just inside the box on the left. Ferguson couldnât have been offside for a ball played across or back from there along the 6-yard line & had those few yards head start on the central defenders but he kind of jogged into the box & let a defender get back between him & the ball coming across. Had he sprinted towards the near post it would have been a tap in. The Ecuadorean left back chap had a right go at him. Fergusonâs game awareness, movement & timing of runs should all improve with experience obviously but I thought he made himself easy to mark on plenty of other occasions too. Brighton play a nice brand of football, Leeds donât seem to have a pattern of play. They lack a footballing identity in hipster terms, which is probably linked to changes in manager.

Players seem to have given up and manager looks to have lost the dressing room. Wober being back for the next game gives some chance. Himself and Adams being injured and missing the last 2 games was a huge leadership loss.
They broke the club record for Rutter who looks absolutely useless. Their only chance is if Southampton, Forest and Leicester end up being more shit than them

A message from the players.
As the first team squad at Leeds United, we wanted to reach out to the fan base regarding yesterdayâs game and subsequent posts on social media.
Firstly, the performance was not good enough. There is no other way to look at it and the only way to respond is on the pitch. Leeds fans travel up and down the country in huge numbers and deserve more than this.
What is just as concerning to us as a group, is the video online of us leaving the hotel. Words canât express how sorry we are that the youngster in the video wearing the Leeds kit is not shown more love from the squad. On a matchday we do an activation walk, before and after this we stop for photos and autographs to ensure we interact with fans, but also that we are on time when leaving for games. However, there is no excuse for not acknowledging fans and if the parents of the fan wearing the Leeds kit in the video could make themselves known to us, we would be grateful.
We do not believe that this fight is over and we will keep going until the last ball is kicked this season. Thank you again for your support.
