Sweet Tooth Thread

Not a big fan of lemon at all. French Fancies are my favourite from the Mr Kipling range though if I had to buy myself a pre-made cake/log type thing I’d go for the humble Pineapple Log.

Ah yes, just posted this at the same time. A wonderful treat.

sorry rocko, my great love for salt and vinegar hula hoops is formally withdrawn.

Even in the cinema I still make the sound of a bottle opening with every fizzy cola bottle. Bite off the top, make a small hissing sound and then suck the fucker dry. That’s how you eat a fizzy cola bottle.

They’re the ones alright. Seem to be taking off in more and more places now while they were hard to come by at first. Kettle do a great salt n’ vinegar

Frosties are/were a noble sweet.

i currently enjoy indulging in

Bassets jelly babies
midget jems
milky ways

I would like to eco the dunphs sentiments here

I would also like to add Mars bars and toffee pops to the list

I always have a soft spot for custard slices and chocolate eclairs. I’ll seldom let profiteroles pass on a dessert menu anywhere either.

Had 3 99’s over the weekend as well - forgot how much I love whipped ice-cream.

I’m eating a lot of jelly babies at the minute. Love those little fuckers. Aero bars would be a favourite, along with Wispa’s. Tiramisu would be my favourite dessert if out

No wonder you can’t beat Larry Duff on the climb Rocko. I like cola bottles and skittles myself. Can’t beat the bar of Cadbury’s chocolate either. The choclate in Nestle products like Kit Kats just isn’t as good.

Where do we stand on biscuits rocko? Not one for bars or chocolate or sweets really, but those cunting things, I cant help myself around, disaster.

I think I mentioned biscuits on my second post MBB because I was enjoying a homemade cookie at the time.

Best store-bought biscuits for me are:

Fox’s Classic chocolate covered
Toffeepops
Chocolate Goldgrain

For some unknown reason I’ve a real fondness for those McVitie’s Fruit Shortcake biscuits. Not a huge fan of shortcake generally but those aren’t really shortcake.

Sorry Rocko, I zoned out when all the sweets and pavlova were being mentioned. I must say I like a nice shortbread, esp the one mentioned, but my true achilles heel is a nice chocolate hob nob or a bourbon cream, fuckers I cant stop myself eating either of them. A xhoxolate kimberly is delicious, but I’ll stop myself going overboard on them, but stick a bourbon cream pack in front of me with a cup of tea, well just forget about it.

Love the Mr Kippling bramley apple pies other than that not a big cake lover but I love sweets, chocolate and crisps.

apple drops
sherbet lemon and strawberry
fizzy cola bottles
cola bottles
skittles
Yorkie raisin and biscuit only
Caramel
twirl
Caburys turkish delight.
Hairbo tangtastics

Also Cadburys Caramello :guns:

I used to have a sweet tooth when I was younger. This consisted of me on ocassions digging a spoon into the hot chocolate tub and taking a dallop of cocoa and eating it amongest other things.

Now, I wouldn’t consider myself as having a sweet tooth really. I always have some sort of chocolate in the house for a cup of tea but that is the only time I would eat it. Mini Rolls woule be my choice here although any sort of chocolate here would suffice. I am partial to a Yorkie Raisin and Biscuit or Cadbury’s Double Decker as a pick me up around the 3pm slump, but not every day. I would rarely eat chocolate then in the evening if I had one of those.

I know that it is outside the parameters of this thread for some reason, but I enjoy a bag of crisps. I snack on them a bit too much.

Cakes, biscuits, all those kind of sweet things don’t interest me at all. I was at a 70th birthday parthy recently and they had stacks of those types of things. Eating those while having a few pints is revolting to me.

Remember this guy?

A mint crisp would always have been my favourite in that genre of Cabury bar, but I’m slowly coming around to the wholenut bar.
Yorkie biscuit and raisin is probably the best value (and one of the nicest) chocolate bar.

Toffepops are class but it’s years since I had one.
