I’ve been swimming since I’m 7/8 you clown. I learned while in the Cubs of which I became a senior sixer. We got a mini bus to St.Endas every Saturday… I also went to Endas and we spent one PE semester a year in the pool for 5 years… Further to that we used to jump off Ardnacrusha bridge as teenagers… No point jumping off that if you can’t swim.
In short, I’d destroy you … I’m more interested in perfecting my stroke for racing, you dipstick.
Bizarre how you didn’t realise it’s possible to swim at a beach so with all that experience you have.

I was one of the main guys, that’s all you need to know.
Anyway, just did 20 lengths there…in 10 x 2 @ 20 meters with 30 seconds rest between… It was post work out so wasn’t a bad showing. Shoulders tired now tho.

While you were pretending to do that (only kidding 
) I went across the cove and back here this morning, I was absolutely fucked and had to stop a few times but I haven’t done much open water swimming, it’s bloody hard

had a 20 minute swim this morning after an hours cycle, fucking great. I’m swimming since a nipper but am shite at the breathing technique, just head under water and come up when I need to. I’m actually thinking lessons…
Ardnacrusha bridge is a serious height. I jumped off there one day went in wrong and slapped my bollox.

Where’s that? it looks like Inch beach where I was a few hours ago - the water was unreal.
Ardnacrusha is for fannies, we used jump off the black bridge in Rochestown cc @ChocolateMice into some of the most dangerous water in Cork, I shudder to remember it.
