Hope you enjoyed that.
That’s a small beach where you can see either side in the picture. If @backinatracksuit had swam the width of inch beach he’d be heading for the Olympics it’s about 5 miles long ffs
I’d say @ChocolateMice was at the Inch beach in East Cork.
Inch beyond Cloyne
it was clean water tbf but a serious height and for fannies it was not. sure we used swim in plassy and there’d be latchies washing their horses beside us, when you think of it…dromore lake was a nice spot back in the day.
Dromore lake is lovely pal,
Cunt to get too though.
getting from the gate down, I wonder what its like now?? did you ever go up to the castle ?
Would have loved a dip today at portmarnock to ease the aches and pains.
Never went over to the castle,
It’s impressive though.
there’s a house on the way up there, mad fella living there, we robbed his boat to get away from him
Went for a grand swim in portmarnock today, my first in Dublin this year.
I’m thinking of doing the kilkee Bay swim again. Two friends have been “training” for it. I haven’t swam a length bar the odd dip in the sea in two years now but I’ll have a chance to do some practice the week before. I’m going to land up and beat them.
I haven’t swam in the irish sea in 25 years+ and I live 10 mins walk from it.
The herb in Dublin must be consistently off the hook.
2km in the pool this morning. Training for a 3.8km lake swim in a few weeks. @flattythehurdler tying my legs together would barely hamper me as my legs bring nothing to the table. A few token kicks to keep me horizontal in the water. Any tips on how to improve the leg kick?
Think I stopped there with the lads during my Tour of the South-East a few years ago. Lovely spot.
Am awful lot of pretend swimmers coming out of the woodwork all of a sudden
I’m heading off for a pretend swim within the hour…
The best thing about pretend swimming is that nobody can have any expectations of an action shot.
I’m still not the better of yesterday’s exertions, part exhilarating but mostly painful,
Nice spot for a swim (Dunmore East) @Fagan_ODowd very calm in still shallow water, however I was rightly ravenous afterwards and was left very disappointed by a below average Chowder (zero shellfish) and Calamari in the strand inn.
Great swim there now in Fent in Kerry . Lovely .
