Take a bow HSE

That’s good. Madness that the state had abdicated responsibility to be funding this essential service until now.

I should have become a civil servant. Nice pension, no real threat of being laid off and the chance of a nice payoff as you ride off into the sunset.

Don’t think the pension is that hectic anymore?

Plus zero bonuses, perks etc unless you in the upper echelons. Bar a bit of flexibility with working hours and job security, I’m not sure there’s much else appealing about it.

In some departments There used to be a clock or some type of acknowledgement given after 25 years service but that seems to be gone as well.

My mates in the HSE mental health part in CUH
Genuine guy
Grafter
Says it’s non stop in his department in his grade( middle )
But higher up some do F all ,
And come n go as they like,
He came from the passport office
Exactly the same mantra there

I’ve just done 20+ years for a US multinational and can tell you that most perks in there were slowly wiped out over the years. Little or nothing in the way of pay rises, you might get a bit of a bonus but that wouldn’t really make up for the other things.
