Irish holidays entitlements are now 35 days a year + bank holidays
And a free bed to hide under
When did you incorporate it. It probably is registered for tax but check. I can PM you a couple of names who can help you if you need lawyers/accountants/company secretarial services to help set it up
Ah I’d say two years ago. We had to file accounts anyhow. It’s really only a favour for a pal that set it up. I haven’t had the time or inclination to get heavily involved.
Grand. Whoever filed the accounts can check Re tax registrations and sort those if needed.
there are boiler plate contracts of employment online, you need to protect the company… if it’s a niche co. you may want non-compete, IP protection clauses in you the contract of employment.
you could contract HR firm or Solicitor for piece of mind.
Look Flatty, you’re getting into deep water here. A ghillie (I’m assuming this is the role) will be a self-employed contractor with his own affairs in order. At least the ghillie we use has.
You’re over-thinking this one. These guys are professionals.
You may as well start shelling out to the candidates who didn’t get the job based on discrimination now.
I’d go contractor as well. At least in the short term util the figures start adding up. If at all possible.
Flatly employing some poor rural type to stand down on his new pier and make sure no one falls over and sues him
I’ve an interview set up for next Monday pal.
Random question here lads but if you are leaving one job and joining another, which do you do first - sign the new contract or hand in your resignation?
Have you a legal notice period? Would current employer hold you to it out of badness?
Probably a courtesy at very least to let current know anyway.
2 months, but can leave one month if I forego the second month wages.
Sign the new contract first.
Definitely.
Or at least have the contract in your hand, tell your old employer see what they do in terms of matching/beating their offer.
If not then sign and send back
I’d first Check what it says in your current contract about it…
Sign on the dotted line first.
