Custard is a big hit at home so I’ll pick up a packet of fig rolls on the way down tomorrow.
Hopefully this snow will have gone by then.[/quote]
Normally with tea after the dinner…Pour the custard over the Fig rolls and pop it in the oven for around 10 minutes and then leave it sit for a few minutes…Magnificent
One or two cups a week, bag must be left stew in the mug throughout the whole drinking experience so that the drink tastes like porter towards the end. Nothing like a bit of McCambridges bread, Kerrygold butter and thick cut marmalade to accompany the cuppa.
I’m a much bigger fan of a triple esspresso with a Camel though, I’d have that piece of heaven about four times a week.
I always take sugar in my tea and I decided recently to put a stop to it. Went grand for a week but was at a friends house and she gave me my usual dosage and I was hooked again. I can categorically say that I can’t quit any time I want.
I haven’t come across this thread before, or if i did i haven’t commented on it.
I rarely if ever drink tea at work. I don’t know why this is. On a working day i won’t have a cup of tea until about 30mins after the dinner, which could be about 6.30pm. I’ll generally drink about four or five cups of tea from then until the end of the evening…
I’d say I’m up to about 6 cups of tea a day at this stage. Stonger the better with one spoon of sugar. I can’t drink it with full fat milk anymore though. Tastes like I’ve just thrown a lump of butter in there.
Couldn’t survive work without tea. First mug at around 7.30, has to be a big mug. Around 4/5 of those a day. Another after dinner in the evening and one last one around 9. Can’t stand drinking tea out of cups, just started drinking and its already gone.
Fry up mug is the business alright, second mug is never as nice though.
Best biscuit for dunking is a jammie dodger, sturdy and tasty. Nicest is the Mcvitie Fruit Shortcake but is a risky one, falls apart too easily.
Anyone here drink hot choclate? Not a fan myself but mrs hannibal loves it. Cannot understand its appeal.
Had a try of hot chocolate over Christmas. Not great.
Best biscuit for dunking is a Tesco Ginger Nut Cookie. 46 cent for a pack and delightful with tea. Gives a lovely added flavour to the liquid after you’ve dunked a few.
