You nailed it there .

You need a licence to rent a truck, you don’t need a licence to buy a gun.

QED.

Probably could rent an automatic truck too

Adults don’t respond to simple questions like that.

In fact replying like that is a dead giveaway that you’re completely ill-equipped to discuss anything in an adult fashion.

Along with all your other posts on this forum.

Anyone over 16 can get a license to drive a vehicle, no background check required. As always your ignorance of al things US related is monumental.

Better start tooling up, @anon7035031 and @maroonandwhite.

Don’t reply to him. Don’t get dragged into another pointless ‘debate’ with him he’s not able, and all he realy wants is attention.

I think you’re kind of missing the obvious here. Again. you require a licence to drive to drive a truck in the US. You don’t require a licence to buy a gun.

You don’t even require a background check to purchase a gun in the US, as this doesn’t apply to private sales. 17.6 million gun owners in the US have not been subjected to any background check (and of those who have a background check conducted, just 0.6% fail it) and 40% of all gun sales in the US do not involve any background check. An estimated 124 million guns in the US are owned by somebody who has not had a background check conducted.

Under federal law, private-party sellers are not required to perform background checks on buyers, whether at a gun show or other venue. They also are not required to record the sale, or ask for identification. This requirement is in contrast to sales by gun stores and other Federal Firearms License (FFL) holders who are required to record all sales and perform background checks on almost all buyers, regardless of whether the venue is their business location or a gun show. Access to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) is limited to FFL holders and FFLs are not issued to persons that only sell firearms at gun shows

And just to go back to your earlier point, it’s rather foolish on your part to suggest getting rid of all trucks, as trucks are vehicles that serve the function of transporting people and/or goods.

Guns do not serve any other purpose except to kill or maim people.

The two are not comparable in terms of function, I think you’ll agree.

But it’s not surprising that you’d make such an infantile point.

The absolute state of you

“Guns do not serve any other purpose other than to kill or mail people”.

You see, this is where you would lose any credibility, if you had any to begin with.

People hunt with guns, the great majority of the US is rural and hunting is popular. Whether you agree with hunting animals with guns is irrelevant, unless you are a devout vegan as being shot in the wild is a far better outcome than how the animals people eat are raised and killed.

The US is a violent society with high crime rates, including violent crime. A homeowner has the right to defend themselves against a home invader and there is no deterrent like the sound of a double barrel being cocked.

Hunting?

Is there no driving test in the US before you can get a licence ?

Hunting kills and maims, you dumbass.
