It allows TFK members to bet on real sporting events, using real cash, against other TFK members.
##What can we bet on?
The following sports are currently available:
Gaelic Football (first games next weekend in Allianz League Div 1)
American Football (championship games on Sunday)
EPL (fixtures on Saturday and Sunday)
I expect to add the following events, subject to demand:
Hurling
General Election 2016
Cheltenham betting
##What types of competition are there?
There are:
Player Draft events -
where you pick from a closed list of players for one week’s matches and earn points from their scoring. Pay €x to enter the competition and the winner(s) (winner takes all or up to 3 places) takes home the pot, less TFK’s 10% rake.
Player Draft events can either be:
Head to Head - play against one other member
League - play against a group of other members
Pickem Events -
where you pick the outcome from a list of matches. Pay €c to win the competition and the winner(s) with the best predictions take home the pot, less TFK’s 10% rake.
These can either be Head to Head or Leagues, similar to the player draft events.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to this financially by the way.
Hopefully, TFK can now be funded from earning a crust from betting rather than asking for donations. But I was genuinely positively surprised by the generosity of lots of you. Can’t name everyone because not everyone gave their names but you know who you are and thanks for supporting TFK.
Not in that contest anyway. It’s winners only. Draws won’t count in the competition. That was only intended as a test competition anyway but I’ll be look into the draws. Picking without them works fine anyway.
Just left in Paypal. Had to close that window and re-enter TFK Bet manually.
Also, site references Euro, but payment on Paypal was made in US$.
Impressive work though, looking forward to the upcoming horsey festival betting section.

Ok, I’ll take a look. I’m nervous about doing anything to interfere with Paypal when it’s working properly so we might need to live with those two issues for the time being anyway.
Any ideas for how the horsey festival selections should work let me know.
@Rocko - the Euro symbol is every so slightly misaligned with some of the icons along the top of the page. Please rectify this as my OCD can’t handle it. Thanks in advance.
