TFK Bogball Team 2000-2019 Half Forward Line

When he could get out of Conor Gormley’s pocket.

Dooher - M Murphy - D O’Sullivan

2 all Ireland, club all Ireland under age all Irelands… He was the complete footballer.

That spoofer fluvio has 8 picked for every line on the team from Tyrone bar in goal…

His anti Galway is gas

Pure wum stuff

He was a poor man’s Owen Mulligan.

I wasn’t a huge fan of Donnellan I have to say. A great engine but in comparison to the likes of Joyce and Fallon I don’t think he was nearly as talented.

Forward positions are make believe since around 2004.

Flynn - Murphy - Connolly

Alan Brogan was Dublin’s best ever forward in my opinion. He was brilliant for us throughout the noughties when we were pretty shit. He was outstanding in 2011 and deservedly won Footballer of the Year. Age and injury restricted him from 2013 on but I’m not sure we would have made a breakthrough at all without him.

He still won’t make this team though.

Anyone that doesn’t have Donnellan and Galvin in their pick needs their holes booted up and down the street.

Ah he was. I was at practically every game of his prime years and he was incredible to watch. He used to get the ball in any position on the field and you’d hear the murmur in the crowd start straight away and people begin to stand up to get a better look. And I’m including opposition supporters.

His prime was only about 6 years though. His last great year was probably 2003. Even by the following year the injuries were taking a serious toll on him.

Fair enough. I always thought Paul Clancy was an underrated player on that team by the way.

Yeah very good player was Paul. Didn’t get the headlines compared to some of the talent around him in the forwards at the time.

Brilliant long kick passer as well, had a fairly unique style where it would stay flat but travel a long way. There are lads being mentioned for this team that couldn’t kick pass the ball 20 yards.

Dec O’ Sullivan - Murphy - Kilkenny

Ciaran McDonald makes my three.

To quote @Big_Dan_Campbell a Rolls Royce of a footballer.

Johnny Doyle looks nailed on here for openers.

I couldn’t leave Galvin out,

I’ll go with Dooher in the other side and Declan O’Sullivan in the middle

Yeah Galvin could do it all but mainly there to win ball to lay off to the teams greatest scoring threats. Great physical presence, you couldn’t leave him out. I like DOS but seemed to solely rely on his pace and very one sided. Couldn’t have a duffer like Dooher anywhere near an all time team.
