@Balbec

What are the main train stations in Poznan, Gdansk and Warsaw?

Glowny in the first two and Centralna in Warsaw - Glowny means main station

Thanks Sid. Youā€™re the best

Ah lovely :pint:

First class rail travel all booked up - Warsaw to Poznan - Poznan to Torun - Torun to Gdansk and Gdansk to Warsaw for Ā£75 all in

Gdansk to Warsaw is over 6 hours of a train journey :frowning:

Dworzec Glowny, Dworzec Centralna will see you right usually. Donā€™t book Warszawa Zachodnia, it is a few miles west of town.

Ben SHerman would be proud of you.

Booked warsaw centralna and Poznan/Gdansk/Torun Glowny

Chewy, let me know how you did this. I need to book Gdansk-poznan-gdansk before the croatia game.

Balbec, are the trains reliable? Is there even the slightest possibility of trains not arriving?

http://polrail.com/

Very straightforward.

Which games are ye all going to? Document them here pleaseā€¦

The trains are usually punctual but on a trip 6 hours long there might be a risk of being 10-15 minutes late. At this time of year the trains should run ok unless a tornado takes a power line down somewhere in the middle of nowhere.

Going to the italy game. Red stand section M.

Good site that polrail.

Booked 4 of us on a train to Gdansk on the morning of the 14th.

A lovely young man by the name of Daniel emailed me earlier to inform me that the train i booked from Torun to Gdansk would not be running but he did suggest three other times for me. Top class customer service him, my word.

Croatia and Spain - tickets received for both. Iā€™d imagine weā€™ll be out of contention by the Italy game.

The never ending Polish bus journey is often punctuated by an impromptu stop at a petrol station where everyone has a fag. Avoid the trains that stop at every hamlet on the way. Theyā€™d break your melt. Laugh deep and heartily at the first quote youā€™re given by a taxi driver to get you from A to B.

95% sure of a ticket for the Croatia match. Itā€™s nearly all together now.

Have tickets for Croatia & Italy and 90% sure Iā€™ve one for Spain.

Trains booked for Poznan - Gdansk on 12th and the return journey on 16th.
