Not sure about Ukraine but the 4 Polish cities look to have decent rail links between them. Balbec may verify
Iād imagine theyāll send out tickets to people who arenāt even going. Thatās what they did with the Estonia match anyway. I think in theory anyway the number of away matches people have attended is taken into account.
Train system in Poland is very good.there used to be flights from Dublin to gdansk donāt know if there still are.gdansk is lovely place.not far from sopot which is by the sea.wroclaw is nice enough but not a patch on gdansk.i stayed in stranger hostel in gdansk and Wroclaw.very nice.i wasnāt mad about Warsaw but all in all Poland is a superb place.id give it an 8.5/10
Great stuff. Letās hope for Poland
Have only Warsaw and Krakow experience, enjoyed both for different reasons. Warsaw was a stag.
In general i find the Poles bang on, but know very little of the Ukraine or their people only that the best and most beautiful usually leave to Poland and Germany.

Balbec,
Thinking Iām going to book a flight to Krakow before the draw is made and before flights completely sky rocket. If we get drawn in Poland then happy days and if Ukraine then it seems there are regular trains from Krakow to Lviv and Kiev at least.
Do you know what these trains are like? I tried googling it but didn;t get much joy. Would we need to book train tickets in advance to get into Ukraine? Any websites you can recommend? (Even if they are Polish websites as my mateās missus is Polish so we could get her to book the train tickets, etc).
Also how is Krakow for campsites?
Cheers mate
Vruts lav would get you close
Very nice town in the centre. Looks a bit industrial in parts on the way in but a very nice spot.
Let me get back to you. Main rail website is pkp.pl. Iāve seen a couple of campsites in Krakow, Iāve booked TASE in to one already.
Did you see the cunt with the Clare jersey 1:30 in?
A few sample train journey times:
Wroclaw - Krakow 4.5-5.5 hours depending on train type.
Warszawa - Gdansk 6.5 hours
Warsaw - Wroclaw 5-6.5 hours
Warsaw -Poznan 2.5-3 hours
wroclaw - gdansk 8 hours
warsaw - krakow 2:40
krakow - gdansk 9-12 hours
watch out for train types, look for Intercity or Eurocity trains.
Try this one, itās about a mile from my place. Right at the back of a major supermarket. Also on the main tram track into town

Anyone planning on booking flights and accommodation after the draw tomorrow ?
Yep, Iāve called a meeting with my pals for the weekend. Whatās looking like the best option? Out of sheer laziness sake Iām considering getting a loan from the credit union and going the Abbey Travel route. A camper van would be the preferred option though, itād be marvelous fun altogether.
Brilliant Whiplash, thanks
Balbec,
how hard will it be to get hotel rooms or hostels for the Euroās will there be enough beds to meet the demand. i have no interest slumming it in a camp site
