TFK exclusive: Donal Og's Gay

Pretty sure he up skilled.
Yes.

I think people saw how low he went and felt sympathy for him, there is probably nothing more wrong, grotesque or humiliating than performing gay sex acts for money.
Keep your homophobia to yourself you low life redneck.

What was homophobic about what I said there?
You’re an urbane, modern and civilised citizen of Ireland’s cultural capital mate, but there are plenty of ignorant dickheads left about the place. Sadly this is still relevant.
And how many of these ignorant dickheads do you think will watch a programme about homosexual sports people ?

Making your point and the programme itself irrelevant

I already made the point about normalisation. Probably the bigots won’t watch it. But it will normalise the discussion and give them less scope to consider certain thing abnormal or wrong. It will educate other people who will be more likely to challenge the bigots in their views. All of these things are beneficial. I would have thought this was obvious.
If you don’t care why does it bother you? I don’t watch or want to watch 99% of RTƉ productions and won’t watch this, but I don’t see why it should bother. @dodgy-keeper the same. There is a vast amount of media space given to nobody z-list celebrities in Ireland. It’s avoidable, so is this, so why does this in particular bother you?

I also do think it’s still relevant. There is still a lot of stupidity and homophobia in Ireland. And even among more accepting people there is surprise that gay people are as normal as anyone else, that a top intercounty GAA player could be gay and not a some sort of caricature out of The Birdcage, or the Rose of Tralee winner could be gay and not stomping about the place in dungarees and doc martins.

To me, what @dodgy-keeper and @thedancingbaby display is grudging acceptance as long as they keep their gayness out of sight.
He came out in a Sunday newspaper - ā€œI’m gay and proudā€

His book was launched - ā€œI’m gay and proudā€

He gave that talk up in Derry last year or the year before - ā€œI’m gay and proudā€

His new RTE documentary - ā€œI’m gay and proudā€

Can you not understand by how people can be sick of him at this stage? Nobody really cares as far as I can see except Cusack himself. Yet he still keeps beating the same drum when most reasonable people couldn’t give a damn about someone’s orientation.

Tempted to nominate him for the ā€œpeople giving me a pain in the holeā€ thread. Actually on second thoughts I better not… (That’s a joke, Glas!)

Just emailed a dear friend of mine who also happens to be a bumder and asked him what he though of Donal Og. A cunt was his reply. Take from that what you will.

Donal Og has made a right cunt of you & you don’t even know it.

Unless the programme was about stealing cattle, I think you’ll find he wangled the show out of them. Although the last bit sounds like a scene in one of McCarron’s films.

your a bumder too?

So not all members of the gay community have mutual respect for each other? What kind of a club are they running at all?

Steers and queers pal, steers and queers.

You are, my friend.

@glasagusban is such a duplicitous individual, defending him openly on a public message board then slating him privately via email.

 TSG is a bumber?

It is wrong though.
