TFK "feedback" thread on big move

self portrait?

Nah, he has way more hair and a faster car. Plus he’s a ginger

Right, this seems to be a bug on some android versions. But there is a solution for the moment anyway:

When you highlight text you can just press the normal reply icon (on any post) and it will quote the text. You don’t actually need the quote reply option to appear.

I’ve extended the permitted username length a little. This should help the likes of @ciarancareyshurlinga

Anyone who had a username that was shortened and wants it extended let me know.

If you have underscores instead of spaces or apostrophes - sorry.

What is it you like there? Those bars on the left on the topic listing?

I can’t remember if you liked the mock up I did before of the layout that had borders and the likes:

But is it more on the topic listing where you’d like to see that definition. So like this:

Superb. Still clunky due to highlighting text on a phone but much better

@rocko. Can you bring back the pictures on the homepage please? I thought they were great.

Good work @Rocko

“Pagination”. It refers to “pages”

The IPhone is a problem too. Sometimes the quote text button pops up, sometimes not. Sometimes when you highlight the text and hit reply it works, sometimes not.

Overall I am happy with the way it’s turned out though. Eliminating pagination will prove a master stroke in the long run and pages automatically updating is great

Think I got the hang of it now @Rocko thanks. All we need is a “well clamped” rating and we are good to go. The search function is much better.

I think the quoting on mobiles is a bit funky and it could be improved. But that workaround should help anyway.

The live updates on threads was a breath of fresh air during the hurling yesterday. We had something similar a few versions ago (on vbulletin) but it was poorly implemented and didn’t really refresh and scroll properly.

The last forum was better than this in every way. I suppose Rocko must have his reasons to change, but this is fucking awful compared to the last one.

credit where its due Rocko, that is indeed a nice little addition.

Yeah but you used to love Rugby and you now hate it.
You used to be a diehard Tranmere Rovers fan and you now don’t care or follow them in anyway.
You used to have cancer but you don’t now.

In short, you’ve never stuck at anything. I fully expect a backtrack.

Both of those are much better in my opinion.
