Iāve an earlier version of Speedgoat and wouldnāt use anything else on trails now. Really like them
Much better grip than the Pegasus
Cheers lads! Iāll see if they drop a bit in the black friday/cyber monday sales.
Look at the earlier versions like the 5 or 4 in outlet stores. Very little difference in the shoe but waaay cheaper
Youāre a runner now also? Youād have loved our departed friend Tassoti
Will do! Cheers!!
If you like Pegasus there is a trail version
I did see that. However, Iāve always been meaning to try a different brand and the Hoka One brand seems to have gotten good reviews over the years. More cushion wonāt do the ageing legs any harm either!
Saucony are a great shoe if you fancy something different
Love Hokas, great shoe. Highly recommend them.
Steamer
They are like clown shoes
Youāre like a clowns shoe.
Trim 10 Mile going on sale tomorrow morning at 10am via Pop Up Races. It usually sells out in an hour two. I did it last year & enjoyed it - itās on the new(ish) February bank holiday weekend & the week after the Raheny 5 so these two early year races will be ones Iāll start training for soon.
The adult ones?

I did that last year. My memories are of a big wind - particularly at the finish
Yeah, it was a very windy day & it was like the gladiators travelator on the exposed section at the finish. Maybe my memories are coloured by the race going well for me, which has become an increasingly rare occurrence.
Booked this on your advice. Great time of the year for a race like this.
Good stuff - Iāve signed up too. It starts in a retail park on the town outskirts & goes out to the countryside & loops back to finish in the same area. You wonāt get the razzmatazz of going right into Trim City Centre, itās a rural route but thereās good shelter from the wind in most places. They encourage folk to line up at the start based on expected finishing time so I stood in between the 70 & 80 minute markers last year & got in with a group going at my pace.

Such a loss
