well BF and COD are the most popular FPS games out there. not a fan of BF though. there should be a demo of BF on PSN if you want to give it a whirl. i think its the lack of vehicles that makes MW better. i think taz had BF so he might have a different view

horseshit, modern warfare was literally the game chnager for fps, just playing it now looks great and the streaks are now much more balanced to give people who play a different way a chance

playing it right now, theres new game modes and new streaks which balance the game much more than before, games like kill confirmed are balanced againsgt snipers as you have to collect the dog tags of the dead. it encourages more communication. the streaks have been modified too to balance things out, yu can have support, specialist or kill em all. it looks great too. havent played campoaign yet
I picked up a copy of BF3 and MW3, my preference at the moment is for BF3, but thta is because I prefer the squad based team play in it, both games are brilliant, if you liked any of the previous games then get these, its a no-brainer.
Granted MW3 is very similiar to MW2, but at this stage it looks like they have sorted out alot of the problems that plauged the multiplayer on MW2.
When it came out MW2 was brilliant online but it descened into farce, the care package glitch, the commando knife glitch, nuke boosting, and worst quick scoping, int he finish every lobby was full of snipers quick scoping it became unplayable and a load of sh!t. all those problems should have been sorted with a patch (some were, not all), but from playing games online in MW3 it looks like alot of them are. the games are alot closer as well. For instance with a free-for-all match in MW2 with the kill streak rewards a game could just turn into a procession with 1/2 players out in front, that doesnt seem to be the case with the new one. there are rewards for gameplay other then killstreaks so it keeps it more even, espeically with the team based games.
It will become clearer in a few weeks if is actually more balanced or if in fact it is because everyone is new to it that games are even.
I didnt buy the hardened edition so dont have the code for the Call of Duty elite membership, this gives you a one year subsrciption, it looks a load of shit really but you end getting all the Map packs for ā¬50, they are releasing a Map a month for the next ten months, which the only thing I would be in so will see how much they are charging for the individual maps firstā¦ games really cost ā¬100 with all these map pack add onsā¦ bastards
MW3 is just an expansion to MW2, but look they took MW2 and made it better, just as well because the multiplayer has been broken for about 18 months.
MW3 online is pretty frantic, gun and run, most maps remind me of the dome Map on COD:WaW, just run around aimlessly and rely on you reactions/ reflexes hard to get a run of killstreaks, the maps are set up to eliminate camping.
BF3 online is a bit slower, cant be running headlong into things, need a bit more strategy and think about it more thinking involved.
If you only have half an hour to spare, stick on MW3 and blast away. (free for all takes ten minutes)
If you are planning on a day long session online, then BF3 is the way to go for a few hours (most game types last a half an hour)
Both are excelent, the level of entertainment these games are delivering is incredible!!
