In 96? He was the best midfielder on show til he took a bad belt which limited him. But from the next year for three seasons he was outstanding both physically and in his hurling. Him going off early in the second half of the 99 Munster final due to an ankle injury really cost us that day.

Kilkenny were lucky enough to have the likes of Lyng, Rice, Cha as other midfield options in 2009 and were able to pull Fennelly ashore early in the second half.
