It’s a bit early for Lynch IMO. He might walk into this side in a few years time but doesn’t have the body of work behind him to get in right now. That said I wouldn’t start a row over selecting him. I’d say something similar about Conor Whelan.
Telling players not to attend Gerald’s mother’s funeral? Rubbish. Mccarthy was a total Frank sympathiser, which is why he got the job in the first place. Every gombeen in Cork management for the last 20 years - Denis Ring, Myler, John Mortell, Bertie Óg were appointed only with the approval of Frank.
I myself marched with the players. Not to support their ego as you’re suggesting, but to make a stand against the pathetic county board who have fucked Cork GAA for years to no end.
That’s him
His own father admitted last summer that he shouldn’t be near an intercounty team but in his words ‘these are dire times for Kilkenny’. Surely a lad with this limited ability couldn’t outhurl the greatest midfielder Limerick have produced in modern times?
That may be true but his father sounds like a right prick
His father is a gent and from good KK hurling stock.
A bit harsh on the young fella to be honest. I wasn’t sure he had it in him but he put in a solid shift and got the better of the best that All-Ireland champions had to offer. You’d have to give him some bit of praise
