It appears these TAP lads are cowboys. No lounge access available in Dublin airport with them. Jokeshop
I’m sure you can buy a pint of milk somewhere
Lake psni?
No
Lough Gur
I’ve seen it all now. I’ve paid for extra legroom- on account of my Impressive stature. Just as I was making myself comfortable an attractive Italian lady politely requested (in broken inglese) that I give up my seat, which experience tells me will eventually afford Impressive views of the matterhorn, in order that her friend can join her. I declined, she then turned to the lad in the aisle seat. He took his medici cine like a florintine and slunk off without as much as a grazie from herself. She’s some bit of work.

3 days in the US?
home for the weekend and then to sao paolo?
would you not have combined both trips with a long weekend with the woman in new york or something or head to Rio for a few days in between
you gotta play those transatlantic trips and the hotel - obviously the +1 flight you’ll have to finance and the non work days but surely a trip could have been engineered there with the weekend in between - do you think when i faciliate mergers between semi conductor companies i go to Si Valley for 3 (three) days - head home and then head back to Texas for part two the next week??
my son was almost called Austin after the goings on that week such was the joie de vivre of the trip…
its a years brownie points
@balbec we need to start a thread schooling these greenhorns in corportate culture -
It’s called “Bleisure”.
Sounds like hell I think if I was going to Rio I’d rather leave the woman in Ireland
Anyone here a regular Aerclub/Avios points accumulator?
What are they best spent on?
I spent mine on a discount on a flight
Best used for flights or upgrades on longer flights from what I can see
Upgrades or free flights (if you are willing to go somewhere new)
Flights to Malaga are big bucks in summer season. Use your Avios to book those flights. They use a transatlantic plane for those flights so book Aer club and you get a proper business cabin.
otherwise use high season European flights or for upgrades on transatlantic
Probably the worst use of all.
Upgrades for your life partner.
Can easily be worth €1,000 if flying transatlantic. If you are platinum you get one upgrade a year anyway and you can usually get a second one using points.
Keep an eye to make sure you get all of your tier credits too. I had to follow up a few times as they took ages to add them. Must be a placement student running a spreadsheet that tracks them.
Yeah, the in-laws flew over to the Algarve during the summer and were on about watching movies on board, which surprised me. I’d no idea AL used the transatlantic planes for that.
I’ve a few Avios myself I must use up before they expire. I’ve throttled back on my international bidness trips so any hope of ever moving up a tier with Aer Club is gone.
Their system is complete shit. Had to manually add in flights a pile of times. Maybe they would have eventually appeared anyways.
