Never knew that. Why so? Genuine question
Its up a hill and suffers from very dangerous winds half the year mate. Was a fatal plane crash there landing a few years back.
Fair enough. Lovely hotdogs though
Iāll remember that so.
Big fog issues in cork airport as well I think
Ya itās also in Cork which has to be taken into account as well
Have heard this of Cork and also heard it compared to Leeds Bradford of which Iāve had the misfortune of experiencing multiple times via Stobart.
The reasoning with LB is the altitude of the runway exacerbates any wind conditions.
Iāve flown in and out of cork maybe 30 times in the last 18 months. Never a bother. No queues at security, ever. Itās a grand handy airport. The only problem Iād have with it is the restaurant is fucking brutal and ridiculously expensive
The business lounge has lovely scones.
The pub there near gate 6 (I think) isnāt so bad. Food is a little pricey but youāll get a pint for a fiver which is ok for an airport
The food is shocking.
Eating and drinking in airports ā¦
Iād rarely eat at airports kid. Theyāre way overpriced. A couple of pints and Iām fine. I might have a BK or Macdonalds if there was one there. But Iād have to be absolutely ravenous before Iād part with either mine or the companies cash for the value you get.
Very important you upload a photo of a pint in the airport. Christ thatās beginnerās stuff
I never drink at airports. Bar Iām going on a stag
What if you fancied a pint?
Iād have a pint flying out but for obvious reasons not on the way home
Nah mate. I just donāt like having a drink at airports.
The odd time a work trip comes up that works out well for SNN and it is always an absolute dream compared to the drudgery of DUB. When the Rineanna - Limerick monorail opens itāll only be unrale.
A game changer . A tunnel from Ballysteen across the BMS will be a savage economic stimulant for west limerick .
