and we shared the car to the office on her first day we were stuck in traffic and all of a sudden we were surrounded by people banging on the window with the hands out looking for money beyond that was some sort of a camp with rubbish piled high and toddlers crawling around and rats everywhere. She broke down beside me and couldn’t believe what we were seeing it was harrowing.

They basically squeeze the olives. That’s extra virgin. They throw the squidgy bit left over in a pile. They squidge that along with shergar and anything mentioned in the dead racehorse thread. That’s ordinary olive oil.

We flew TUI to and from Napoli.
Whilst the flight itself was grand, it took two hours to get through check in and security on either end. Absolute nightmare.
Travelling back is the most stressful arrival to plane process I have ever endured.

Still worth every minute.
Spent a pleasant afternoon in Herculaneum, followed by an excellent dinner, a hair raising drive to the airport through rush hour traffic, a petrol pump attendant trying to steal 50 euro from me included.
“You just put it in your back fucking pocket” I said to him, my temper rising.
He just shrugged and took it back out the cunt.
Beware fellow travellers to Italy that whilst there is nothing anywhere saying it, children over 12 have to have a negative covid test in Italy within 48 hours of travel, which is above and beyond anything else you need to get home. And they check it carefully.

PS, for those in the olive oil industry like myself, non extra virgin olive oil is made out of this brown sludge fucked out the back of the factory by a tractor.
