An interesting point one guy told me is that all obama has done since he entered office has caused division and increased stereotyping, " black/white", " rich/poor", " pro/anti gun", this is worth thinking about really , living abroad we only see the US president really in terms of foreign policy as it effects the world, but domestically the country seems to be in a complete mess and is getting worse now the government has shutdown, if i was living and working in the states and paying tax im not sure id be voting democrat next time out
seriously??..you are in Texas FFSā€¦

Sitting here at the departure gate and, from a cursory glance, itā€™s quite clear this Amsterdam flight will be full of reprobate creeps travelling solely to procure paid sex. Just to confirm, Iā€™m not travelling for that purpose.

If you ever absolutely have to be in the UK first thing the only real option is to fly over the night before.
using Ryanair for business:rolleyes:
what type of lemonade stand operation do you work for?

when Peter Reid accepted the managerā€™s job in Thailand im sure the same thoughts entered his head before flying also especially if he bumped into the likes of Graham Rix en route

Mate - would you not just go and relax in the lounge beforehand?

Weā€™re not allowed to anymore, pal. Keen focus on margin.

Sign up for frequent flyer programs. Youā€™ll quickly accumulate enough points with Aer Lingus for Gold Circle membership pretty quickly.

Who else flys to Bristol from Dublin?

What? What?!? What the fuck!!!?! You may as well put on a few pounds, shave the beard and go back to wearing dunnes shirts.

a ā€œbusinessā€ trip to fking Bristol, fuck off from this thread
the joys of working for marks and spencers i suppose, either that or the bird is off getting an abortion

Iā€™m very nervous now and I donā€™t appreciate your post, @Juhniallio. But nerves are good because they prevent me from becoming complacent. I wouldnā€™t be such an acclaimed banker without possessing this fear of failure. But it doesnā€™t paralyse me, it keeps me on my game. Iā€™m about to stride into the meeting and Iā€™m going to be an Irish hero on European soil. Just like Johnny Logan all those years ago.

Dig deep bandage. When youā€™re sitting on the velvet couch of ā€˜this is your lifeā€™ in thirty years and craig doyle asks you about the darker moments of your stellar career you can tell him about the pain of having to go through airports without access to premium lounges and wearing the same shirt for more than one day.

You were called up on an error and have adopted a defensive attitude compounding the error. Admit you were wrong and move on.

Outside of London it has strongest economy of any part of the UK - financial services, aeronautics, chip design, energy etc etc

nice part of the world too

A brief note to update you on my recent business trips.

Another successful business trip to the United States last week where I met clients in the Mid West and New York. As there are no direct flights from Dublin to the Mid West city I was visiting I spent the weekend in New York with some friends and traveled to the Mid West on Sunday evening. My internal flights were with US Airways and I previously mentioned that they have the nice practice of allowing members of our military to board the plane first.

My transatlantic flights were with Aer Lingus and I found business class to be of a decent standard once again. I enjoyed some gentle banter with one of the air hosts about the bright yellow Arsenal jersey I was sporting (he was a Spurs fan). I enjoyed a nice nightā€™s sleep and awoke reasonably refreshed a short time before landing. I stopped by my lodgings, had a quick shower and proceeded to work. Being the prudent accountant that I am I usually only travel business class when Iā€™m coming straight into work and Iā€™d recommend others consider doing the same. Iā€™ve recently been invited to be part of a test group to provide feedback on some changes to Aer Lingusā€™s business class service, regretfully Iā€™ve had to decline as Iā€™m quite busy at the moment.

Tomorrow Iā€™m off to London to have lunch with a client. As Iā€™m under time pressure and need to be back in Dublin tomorrow evening Iā€™ve gone with City Jet and will be flying in and out of London City airport. I will provide an update on this trip once Iā€™ve completed it.

Best
