TFK International Business Travel Thread

Always a good breakfast. Kid friendly as well.

Making my first international business trip of the year at the end of next week Stateside followed by a trip to Italy the following week. I will log more details and details of destinations in due course. Very much looking forward to getting out there in 2016 and telling the good news story of Kaiser Noonan and the fastest growing economy in the Western Hemisphere

Lovely. I am going myself end of April but before that a trip to India as well. And a few short hauls around Europe during March.

Gamechanger for next UK international business trip

Signing in from EI105 for my first international business trip of the year. A weekend of seminars and “networking” awaits in Manhattan.

A weekend of seminars? I trust you mean you’ve managed to arrange a meeting for 3pm in Manhattan are just going to use the weekend to go on the batter?

I’d recommend watching the playoffs on Saturday in Ainsworth Park. Place was crawling with clunge when I was there earlier this year. I know you’re a family man but sometimes it’s nice to sit back and enjoy the view.

I will take that advice on board. I have a dinner to attend to this evening and I have a short brunch meeting Saturday morning, have to show my face for hour at a seminar but otherwise world is my oyster and I can meet some pals for drinks each night.

2 hours of work done on the aircraft. Half a glass of wine with lunch. Settling in now to watch bridge of spies.

The onboard wifi is excellent with my iPad but the iPhone doesn’t want to know.

You can only connect one device at a time on the wifi. I find it to be very temperamental.

Iannotate for iPad is a gamechanger. Able to deal with urgent issues that arose while I was over the Atlantic and electronically sign a document and email it to necessary person.

Arrive with a clean desk instead of chasing my tail for two or three hours trying to print something and fax/scan it when I arrive. The onboard wifi is a necessity in this global world when being incommunicado just won’t cut the mustard

Just descending now. Looks like a nice clear day down below.

I’ve been using it for some time as well. It’s the application that makes the iPad a must have for the business traveller.

Indeed. Would be terrible to have TFK withdrawal symptoms on a long haul flight.

Signing in from EI432 en route to Milan, Italy.

Not a great airport in Milano

For fuck sake.

redeye travellers- Stansted or Gatwick for London travel? cost or london location isnt a factor with either. Just which is the easier airport to go around.

Gatwick all day long. Stansted is out in the middle of nowhere.
