TFK International Business Travel Thread

They should be clean enough. I hear they change the sheets in the Shelbourne an odd time.

Ah. Dublin can be heaven. With coffee at eleven.

Oh @Fagan_ODowd will be in town alright. Just keep an eye on the gangland murder thread to know exactly where.

Donā€™t mind that @Fagan_ODowd curmudgeon. He refused to break bread with me at The Farmerā€™s Kitchen last week too.

Signing in from airside T1 Dublin Airport en route to Helsinki, Finland.

Last scheduled international business trip of 2017 for me. You want your head examined to travel internationally for business in December.

Incorrect - client Christmas drinks in the Square Mile form a sound reminder for their objectives for 2ā€™17.

Anyone any experience of the Ataturk airport in Istanbul? Whatā€™s the low down?

Itā€™s a grand airport if you want to risk being blown up

I was there last week for a meeting. Security is high alright but itā€™s a pretty modern setup. Passport control takes ages.

Iā€™ve about 100 minutes to catch a connecting flight (same airline), I assume Iā€™ll be grand?

Off to Dublin today. Roaster passport at the ready

Booking a few flights here. Three international business trips coming up in the next 8 days which will see me finish my business travel for 2016.

Sadly, due to my vacation I didnā€™t make my fall business trip to the US this year. Will look to make it around St. Pattyā€™s Day instead. A great week for doing business over there.

yeah its grand Turrene
i do it to tel aviv a lot
turkish flights usually leave late but they make it up pretty good
be careful tho as gates can close very early as you might have to get a bus out accross the terminal and they dont call the flights
be at the gate 30 mins pre dept
ive charged around there with my young lad a few times , its a bit of chaos there at times
when you land there you know its not europe, it has that general nature of chaos that you get in the middle east, if a fella ran by me with a gun roaring i wouldnt be one bit suprised there
flights are high quality, with kids they are brillaint and allow u check in about 30kg

@TheUlteriorMotive will be seething

Itā€™s more the complete lack of transparency with Aer Club thatā€™s the problem. They havenā€™t explained tier credits at all yet. Iā€™m very close to a promotion and I think Iā€™ve missed out as I will tip over the points level in this interim period between Gold Circle close and Aer Club launch.

I canā€™t see myself being arsed making an extra effort to fly Aer Lingus anymore.
